Apparently, 49 of the 50 states in USA have snow. The only one that doesn't is Hawaii. And yet, the volcano on Mauna Kea often has snow at higher elevations. Just not now. And then there's the Winter Olympics in Whistler... no snow there either, and it's well-known for its skiing facilities. It all makes ya want to go "Hmmm..." We got some snow overnight, maybe 1 cm (less than half an inch). How's by you? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100213/ap_on_re_us/us_united_states_of_snow

Yes, how about it? I wish to be able to send some snow your way. Vancouver without snow is the shame. Welcome to Olympics, sorry for the weather? I have enough snow to share. Isn't artificial snow the rescue? We have nice sunshine today but cold. I am waiting for Spring.

Well, apparently they're getting rain on the wet coast so whatever snow they've managed to truck in is melting.

Well about the time you posted this we had probably 4-6in of snow sitting on the ground. I'm glad it's finally spring and most of it is gone, though we did get a dusting down here earlier this week but there were several inches closer to the UP of MI.

It was snowing like crazy in British Columbia a little while ago when we were watching the men's Biathlon. It was raining and then it turned to heavy snow. Hopefully that will help the ski hills but they're not doing too badly. I don't think Hawaii is part of the 50 States, is it? There are 52 if you include Alaska and Hawaii. Does Florida have snow? DH's parents are there for 3 months and as far as we know, they haven't had the greatest of weather but haven't heard about snow.

Didn't pay attention in history and geography class, did you dear? There are 48 contiguous states, plus Alaska and Hawaii. That equals 50 states. See: http://www.50states.com/us.htm I talked today to a friend in Victoria and she said the tulips and cherry trees were blooming... no snow at all this year.

My husband told me he read an article in the newspaper that said, a few days ago, they were trying to find someone to go up into the mountains in Hawaii to document the presence of snow there. If they did document it, it will be the first time in recorded history that all 50 states had snow at the same time. The funny part about it is that we have had less snow than usual this year. I live in Michigan and we've had less than half of the snow we normally see by February. That's fine with me, though. I'm not a big fan of snow and winter.

This winter has been a wild one for sure all over the states. We just had two major storms in one week here in Delaware and have tons of snow all over the place. It will take a while for this snow to melt and if we do not get more storms. Dallas, Texas had a foot of snow which is rare and the southern states are getting hammered too. It is amazing how everyone is getting snow, even places that hardly ever see snow. Winter is not over yet and wonder how many more storms will happen. Seems as if we went from global warming to global freezing in many places.

Here in south Carolina we usually get only one snow about this time of the year. Usually just an inch or so, but that is enough to shut the state down. This year we had more snow than I have ever seen here in the 20 years I have lived here. We got at least 7 inches where I live in the middle of the state. Some parts got as much as 10 inches. When there is a threat of snow all the schools close or go on a delayed start. All government office close early or don't open. Snow is usually gone by the next day but you would think that we were going to be shut in for days and days he way people run to the grocery store for milk bread and eggs. Most all the snow from Friday night has melted already.

Florida got a little bit of snow. Just a little bit. It was last month actually about this time of the month in fact it snowed for two hours and blanked the ground with just a little bit of white. only a tiny bit though. It was long gone by the time I got up several hours later. However, the grounds do get blanketed with ice.

I tell you, I am so sick of the snow this year, I live in New York and with the snow storm of last Wednesday, there is still snow everywhere, I know some people loves the snow to do snowman and all that but I hate it with passion. I can't wait for the spring so we can have a descent weather, it has been so cold, that I envy those people that are living right now in places that can go to the beach.
