Referrals at any cost

don't you just hate when people try to get you as their referral at any cost? How many times have you seen make 1000 $a month, or 1$ per click or what ever... I´m just so tired of it, people are selfish and don't even take the time to explain what its all about. I believe that the best way to get referrals is by offering and not demanding. What are your experiences and points of views here?

Congratulations! You've got good discussion here! May I know what do you mean by "the best way to get referrals is by offering and not demanding"?

People try to shove their link up your face (thats demanding), instead of explaining the site without your sole interest.

Oh, I see. And that's another form of spamming? Well, maybe those people don't know about "Attraction Marketing". Explaining the site and sincerely giving information or helping, is a sublime form of Attraction Marketing. If I were them, instead of aggressively coming to their prospects, I'll make them come to me by sincerely helping people. Maybe they just can't wait. They are in a hurry to get referrals.

I don't personally have any referrals on any of the sites that I am active at. However, I will agree with you that I'm sick of people that lie to others in order to gain referrals on their sites. Me, when I try to get people to sign up for sites I am completely honest with the people that I am connecting with. I explain to them that they are not going to get rich, and in most situations all that you are going to get out of your experience what you put into it. I think that honesty is the absolutely best policy.

Yes, I can get irritating when people just keep plugging away that they want you as a referral. I like to have Internet friends and I don't mind the occasional ask, but like everyone else, I don't like to be sold to. _Derek

If you have referrals and want them to help you earn then you must help them too. Just throwing your link out there and not being able to guide them is not going to do either you or them any good. I have referrals on several sites, some of whom I know and some I dopn't. Those that I can contact know that I can advise them and can help them, thus helping myself too. If they are happy then trust wll build up for future sites too when we then exchange and I become their referral rather than them being mine.

That is very true, I try to help people as much as I can and I have contacted a whole lot of people to become my referral in exchange of mine, they are never active and I am... Its a shame though.

Yes, it really grates on my nerves to be honest Want me to be your referral? Then take the time to get to know me first, then show me what the website you are promoting is all about, without the waffle. Then maybe, just maybe, I may consider being your referral Do not just toss a link my way and say "join here to earn $$$"

If i were you, and you want to make money online, i would consider getting a blog and writing about how others can make money online. And on the site just offer them links to sites where they can get money from, and you can refer them to those sites, this way you are helping people to make some money and in the process you are building up your referal numbers. This could help you build up many more referals.
