Do you notice that there are some people here in mylot who barely read what you've posted and go on and comment? I make it a point to make sure i read the discussions before i post anything, and i do hope that my discussions are read first before anyone comments. That's just to avoid commenting out of context. I mean, c'mon. How would you feel if you're talking and your audience gives a remark that's not even part of your topic? A little disrespected, right? It's the same here in mylot. So i hope everyone reds the discussions before commenting. That way we all can have sensible discussions. :)

Okay, i have read it. Now what. I can't read for everybody. Just Kidding. It happens a lot. I think we are trying to make as much comments as possible so the reading goes a bit to fast. But i have to agree it is disrespectfull. TATA.

Yeah me too. One is angry at me and the others are lost. I really miss all of them. Maybe that is why i am so sad and irritated.

I actually have the problem of reading and not posting enough. I think its because if I read something and someone else put something similar, I can't think of anything else to comment on. Lol, good thing this is like a free speech discussion.

Please allow me to take exception to your Post! I do not read the discussions before I respond. Here is the reason ~ I do not want my ideas to be diluted by another person's response. Don't get me wrong, please - I do read the Post, carefully! I enjoy myLot very much and responding, particularly! Very often I am away out in left field, but you can be sure that this is my idea, and mine alone, because I have not read the other responses!

Thanks, barehugs. I understand. I just meant people should read the main discussion before responding, it's ok if they dont bother to read other poeple's response tothe main discussion :)

Yes I read every word of every discussion that I responed to. It really would be wrong not to. I do feel it would be disrespecting. I agree with you a 100% there have been times when I looked at a response to my dicussion and was like okay what in the world are they talking about!

I read it from top to bottom, if not how could I be responding to one of several discussions. If out of topic I should be smaller so not too far out of line. I do not think disrespected, as long they know what topic is going on in the discussion.

Some people comment just for attracting attention or for increasing their ratings. I had many comments which were not related to my discussions. They were just posted to post something.

Yes, very true. I always make it a point to read and understand properly what the discussion states or demands. Whenever I am responding to a discussion, I always think beforehand if I have anything to contribute or any similar experience or such. some discussions or members invite different opinions so in that case, even if I am not remarking positively, I at least ensure that my opposite views are in sync with the topic. I find it really futile to respond to one line discussions where I have nothing to say.

True. There should be more people like you who read discussions here in mylot :)

obviously i have also noticed what you have said in case of mine also sometimes....yes really it is annoying...i think sometime people does not care whatever we have read in any discussion at the time of starting or may be they not properly read the full discussion...may be they are in hurry or may be they have any thing other intention like earning money by posting more and more discussions.

Welcome to mylot, tony. Hope you enjoy it here as much as i do. I usually read the discussions before i comment, so sometimes it takes me a while to comment on every response :)

I recently had a discussion and I think some of the repliers just read the title and went straight to replying. They were mistaken by my title and I hope they didnt give me a negative rating because of it. I take the time to read the whole post before I decide to reply or not, sometimes I choose not to reply after reading all of it because it isnt about what I thought it was.

That's awful. I see you've been a victim also. Well, as one of the responses here said, it is common courtesy to read before responding :)

TL;DR Just kidding. I always read the post thoroughly before replying just out of courtesy. I want people to read through what I typed out before replying, so it's just common courtesy to read other people's stuff before I reply myself.

Common courtesy! That's the right word i was looking for. Thanks! Hehehehe. See? I learned something from reading responses. Thanks Rhazelle! :)

hi jjquiroz7 yes I have had it happen several times myself. I would read this response and think now how did they get this out of what was in my discussion. this does not even make sense. so I would comment, go back and read my discussion again, it was not about me being a young woman who refused to give her seat to an old person, it was about myself at age 83 being given the last seat on the bus, and the young teenager who had to stand was furious with me. My question was should a person my age have to give up a seat to a much younger person just because that person was angry with them. You see I explained this thoroughly in the discussion and she would have known that had she taken time to'read the whole discussion.

Oh my! That's even worse than what happened to me! mine was when i posted the lyrics of a song a few days ago about high school not ending and the person who responded scolded me for complaining about high school. Sheesh! I'm not even in high school anymore.

hello jj, i know what you mean in here. I also receive few respond to my topic which doesn't fit with my discussion. I just leave such reply with no comment. I don't know why some mylotters were doing it,or,maybe they are not aware with what they are responding. Maybe, some people here just want to posts and respond for the sake of earnings. Well,we never knew their motives then.

I guess you're right. Some people just post and comment for the sake of earning. But what's the point of earning if the posts dont make sense? I guess we all have our reasons :)
