alilin28 I am one who always waits until her underwear looks shabby and is ill fittting. I buy panties in pretty colors and in prints too and they have to fit me. I am in the position of having to go do that very soon too. I would love to have loads but that takes loads of green stuff which i do not have so will buy just what I c an really afford.

Hi alilin, For me, underwear is just what it is: underwear. True, I´m 65 years old. But I think that underwear was never an issue. I have preferences and I´m picky with that. It happens with all my clothes. I know exactly what I want. As for underwear, I need a lot. I do not wash any clothes when I´m on vacation so I have to have enough underwear for 15 days and then some (just in case). I always buy the same model from Triumph which in my country is a good (an expensive, I must say) brand. The same thing happens with brassieres. But they last a lot because I know how to take care of them. I never machine dry them or place them at the sun to dry. That helps a lot. As for T shirts, I have more than what I need in the rest of my life, even though from time to time I give some to my daughters and grandaughter. I love to travel, as I said, and the only souvenirs I buy are T shirts because they can be placed in any corner of the suitcase. I not only buy the ones with letters but also beautiful typical blouses that I could not find at home. Take care.

There was a time that I would have definitely said that I was a compulsive underwear shopper, but the store where I did my underwear shopping is no longer located close to where we live so I don't buy underwear nearly as often as I once did. Since my store closed in our city I've been choosing to stick with just buying the cheaper underwear that I can find at the mass retailers because they are just as comfortable and put a much smaller dent in my pocket.
