I know that in all areas of the world different crafts tend to dominate. So i was wondering what crafts are very popular in your area? It doesn't matter if they are more hobby or function just what is being done around the country and the world.

I live in the northwest and I find that there alot of kids crafts and things kids enjoy going on here. We have kids fairs in the summer and alot of kids based things going on. Also alot of sports, fundraising, music, etc. We are a community rich in parks and different activities for kids.

I wanted to share with you that in India rajasthani painting is quiet popular and famous and at the same time it is a beautiful art to persue. I am very interested in this as if you can put in good time and effort comes out wonderful. You can create magic with this rajasthani painting and it is very expensive too

hi opinionatedlady here In California in the US it seems like a lot of people are into scrapbooking in a big way. I think its wonderful for those who enjoy it but it has not every really appealed to me. I have seen some beautiful examples but for me its really a tad too expensive for me. I would love to try to make different styles of baskets into some thing pretty and unusual ,maybe entwining ribbons through the spaces in the woven baskets. but scrapbooking while really hot here is just not'my cup of tea at all.

I know what you mean scrap-booking is big here in our PA area but I just cannot get in to it. I do love taking the pictures though!

I live in New York, in the United States. The part of New York that I live in everyone is very into handmade items. Some of the most popular things I see being done around here are jewelry making, knitting/crocheting, and photography. I think handmade is great! I myself am trying to get myself into making more things handmade. As of now I make cards as well as jewelry. Hopefully soon I can learn how to knit or crochet (haven't decided which one yet!)

I taught myself how to knit from books and I really enjoy it. I like the cables that can be done so I learned. I was taught to crochet and like how much quicker it is. Good luck.
