Hello , they're not called KILLER whales for nothing! They're just acting according to their nature. You can't punish them for that.

those conditions are simply not suitable for them. it's really no surprise at all that this sort of thing happens. if anything I'm surprised it doesn't happen more. they are wild animals. anyone that has ever seen footage of them hunting would be pretty daft to get into the water with them, no matter how well trained they may be. they are wild animals, and can't be expected not to behave naturally. it doesn't matter how nice the tanks are, and I hear they're not that great, these are animals designed to live in a large area of ocean. they say, and it's quite likely true, that it can't be released, having been so long in captivity. if they can't find a way to give it a near natural habitat, which would require a very large section of fenced off ocean, so they probably can't, chances are the kindest thing to do is put it down. which is a sorry state of affairs really. but not surprising when people have contained it so unnaturally for so long and used it for entertainment. animals like this should never be taken into captivity in the first place. lots of animals can be given a near natural habitat in captivity, but not whales. their territory is so vast, and they travel vast distances. the lesson that should be learned from this is that captivity and performing is not for whales.

Nothing is going to happen to the whale and I don't think that anything should be. We have to remember above all that animals no matter how cute or friendly or cuddly they look are animals. They don't have the capacity to think that an action may or may not be harmful. They survive on instinct. The better question to me is why as a society we feel that we have to round animals up from their natural habitat and put them on display. To add to that, we have to teach them to do tricks for us in the name of entertainment.

i think the question should be what should be done with seaworld? this business clearly puts money above human life and animal welfare and has been doing so for years.
