Ive done quite a few things Im proud of in my life. Lately since Im working from home, to some, it seems like Im not working.....but I am I assure you. Things that make me happy have changed over the years. Im finding that baking food from scratch makes me really proud of myself and it also saves money, so twice as good. Ive started baking bread and it wasnt quite what I was expecting, but last night I finally hit it right on the spot. Im so proud of myself!!! What makes you happy and proud of yourself?

Recently, I found that there are only a few things that makes me happy and really proud. And it is not even things that I do. It's usually my sons. When my 9 year old passed his belt promotion level in Taekwondo, I was happy and proud. When my 3 year old amuses himself by counting from one to a hundred, it makes me happy and proud.

Yes, cooking really makes me happy when it is very delicious and enjoyed with family. Feeling contented makes me happy, making good choices makes me happy and also helping others...I can also say that writing about things that make me happy makes me happy!! Spending time in nature hiking, doing a job well, staying focused on inner guidance makes me happy..A sense of purpose and direction makes me happy. Working towards fulfilling my destiny as designed by God and my spirituality is the core. And the extension of this is my love towards my family, friends, neighbors, associates and even strangers. Being there for loved ones makes me happy.

I am a quilter and every once in a while I do something that comes out so great I can't believe I did it. Then I always quit for a while until I see a picture or something that just gets me going again.

My grandmother is a master breadmaker and we eat more homemade bread than anything. I'm trying to pick the art up (and yes, breadmaking is an art) myself, but I'm such a terrible cook! I don't know if I'll ever manage it, but I'll sure try. Things that I'm proud of? Well, I got into a nationally acclaimed school and have a 4.0 GPA, I graduated high school with honors, got $56,000 scholarship, have rescued seven dogs and cats and innumerable fair fish, was editor-in-chief of my school newspaper, and I pursue things that make me happy, like reading and writing and music and art. I'm proud of myself for learning bass guitar and am happy to have one in general. There is so much to be happy about and people don't give themselves enough credit for the little things that they do! They fact that I got out of bed today is something to be proud of and happy about, haha, and I don't mean that in a cynical way. But my point is there is so much to be happy about and people take that forgranted far too often. I was happy today simply because I saw the sun.

Hello Raineyes!! You are lucky to have your grandmother to teach you. I had nobody. My sister did try by phone but it didnt help me much. I think we gain the experience by doing it over and over......then we get it!! Congratulations for everything you accomplished already Raineyes!! Its marvelous that you've done so much. You're right, we do forget about the little things. Im starting to pay more attention to those also. I get what you mean about getting out of bed....sometimes I feel like Id like to stay in bed, but I get up anyways. We forget also to be happy when we see the sun shining!! You've lifted my spirit....thank you so much for your post!!

I have just started working and earning for the first time more than three months ago. What makes me happy is whenever I'm able to treat my family and relatives to some restaurant and enjoy eating together. It just touches my heart to see their happy expressions whenever I treat them and let them try out some new cuisine. I also feel proud whenever I pay for something and help my mom out with the expenses and utility bills. I also feel proud whenever I finish my writing tasks within the deadline and see minor edits, because it makes me more confident about my writing.

What makes me proud of myself has changed from the past to present. Before, when I have achieved something like in terms of academic reward I will be proud of that. But now, it is more of how you live with it and not by counting the tropies, medals, and certificates. I am proud when I am always there for my family when they need me though how busy work will be. It is a matter of how we are imparting time for our loved ones even if it is of little time only because it is the moment being with them that is important. We cannot turn back time. Regrets are always at the end.

for me, i am happy because i have God for my Saviour and Redeemer... also, i am happy because i have a very loving family and hubby, a home (even though we are still paying mortgage on it), health and a full-time job (both of us)... so we are pretty happy and proud of ourselves at the moment because everything that we need at the moment can be satisfied... take care and have a nice day...

I am happy as I am.. this makes me to proud about myself.... I don't want to be or follow like another person.... I take some good qualities from others and live like myself..... This makes me special... and my friends also told me, I try to be like you but I could not... For them I tell... don't loose your originality... live like yourself...don't follow others...

I am happy and I am proud of myself because of my family. My family is an important part of my life. They are every thing to me, my mom and dad and my siblings, my in-laws and especially my husband. I believe in the fact that I am going to be together forever with them and that is because of the teachings of God. The center of God's plans is the family. I will never trade my family for anything. They are much more precious than any material things in this world.

In child hood you may not understand the meaning of happy and proud but as you grow up and gain experience in life and as your mind gets mature, then you realise the meaning. Since Child hood I have a creative mind and slowly I entered into the photography field -I have put hard work and gained the skills. finally I could create so many pictures in my own style where I distributed them in 1000"s which are being used for worships. Many friends say when ever they sit for prayer as soon as they see the picture it seems they remember me. This makes me very happy. And also makes me proud of for the works being with so many devotees.
