Hi guys, i have a doubt, does the emo music genre really exist for you? i've searched about what band are categorized in this genre and all of them sound very different, the only similar things is that they are the most popular rock bands, those who almost sound like pop. So what you think? Does it exist or it's just a stupid label?

I think they're still some bands out there making music with the original emo (emotional hardcore)style/sound but most of the bands/music that's labeled emo is more like angsty alternative rock.

In my opinion, rock is rock, and pop is pop... you can't pu an emo label to something that maybe is somehow between them... its not right.. if people want to have emo music, they have to make something new and different...
