I'm wondering how Mylotters and people in general feel about changes, are you scared of changes in your life or are you happy if something change?? I personally like changes life for me would be boring if it all went on the same way, I like to make changes now and then, sometimes I just change things in my room other times I like to buy a different kind of outfit and I have changed a couple of hairstyles. I like to change, what about you, do you like it or it scares you?

Oh I love changes... First of all, it gives an opportunity to try new things... If the change doesn't suit then it can be undone, there's no harm in that or it can be improved, if possible... It feels good to see happy and healthy changes. If no changes are made then there is a feeling of boredom in the routine things. Changes are necessary... Change is the nature of life... And change is the only constant thing in the world... Wonderful topic! Have fun!!!

Yes, it is true that undoing things isn't always possible... And yet, we can't continue with the same things all the life... So, when one is going to change something, one must plan for 'undoing' plans too... I am sure, some times that is very costly, or the time isn't available or anything! But changes are necessary. That is the nature of life cycle... Have a nice time!

Thank you I agree a lot with your answer. I think you are right when you say that changes can be done to try new things , you say then it can be undone, but I don't think that is always possible. But yes changes most of the times are needed.

It depends. I like the changes you mentioned, the ones that make our lives interesting. I like positive changes that bring some benefit with them. However, I am quite suspicious to all the changes that are incoming. I analyze them thoroughly, because I want to be sure that these changes are good. If they're not, then I am able to prepare for the negative consequences they might bring. Sometimes there are also things that I wouldn't like to change. I am just too used to them.

What you wrote is true, small changes are easy to accept and makes life interesting when it comes to changing our clothing or hairstyle, but let's not forget that big change sometimes come from choices we must take in our life, and that doesn't mean the outcome will always be negative and traumating, it might take some time to get used to it but it could be also a positive turning in our life.

I am the exactly opposite of you! I like continuity. I don't like changes if they are not for the better. I prefer the same type of food, wearing the same style of clothes and having the same routine. I would hate to wander what is going to happen next in my life. I like serenity, continuity and plain simple life.

That's fine, we people are all different and like different things, that's why I started this topic asking this question, I know that some people like to change, some frequently others less frequently and some people do not like changes at all, that doesn't have to mean that you are afraid of them but that probably makes you feel ok.

I am not a big fan of change unless I am in control of it. If its something that happens without me knowing about it and mentally preparing myself for it, then that's fine, and good. I may get upset for awhile but adjust quickly. If you don't adjust then life isn't really worth much of anything if you ask me. But, I try to embrace change and deal with it as best I can.

I think the way you react to changes is one of the best even if you are not a fan of change. But even then sometimes we must take choices for our life that will lead us to a change that can be a big change or a small change, and the outcome can be positive or negative, so the best is to always be mentally ready to any outcome.

I love changes! I am always changing things. Putting things i have seen for some time in the house, back to the basement. I rearrange often. Our furnitures, cupboard, bookshelf, and cabinets. I make sure the jackets i had last year are not the same jackets i have this year. becasue i like it that in photos i am wearing different clothes, not everytime the same. I do so for my daughter and husband. :-) For me, there is fun and something pleasant to the eyes when things are rearranged now and then. It makes life interesting and not boring with the same things on their same places year after year till they will make a mark on the floor or on where they stand.

yes, exactly. It is really good to change and rearrange things from time to time, I also like to do that and like you said it is pleasant to the eyes a bit of change

I'm definitely a person who is fond of changes in my life. I don't like that things just go on in the same way forever. It's kind of boring and lacking of passion that life should be filled with . Different changes in my life always fill me with great curiosity , enthusiasm and strong passion. They urge me to explore more about life and enjoy life better.

Yes you are like me then. I like changes it makes life less boring and in a metaphorical way not monochromatic. Changes add some spice in life and somehow it can be like gambling at times as we don't know if the result will be good or bad.

I have been living in a routine for such a long time and I'm really comfortable with the way things are. As a result of this I'm quite uncomfortable when it comes to change, I like to know where I stand with everything. I guess we are all different though and there's nothing wrong with change. I guess it could be classed as a stage of growth! There are lots of good positive books out there that actually encourage change. Well, I will think closely about change in relation to my own circumstances! Andrew

Thank you for your response, and here you are one more that doesn't really like changes, I knew some people do not actually like changes and that is the nice thing about life, we all feel differently about things, and I can really understand what you mean about feeling comfortable with the way things are.

you just have to think how boring it would be if you did the same thing all the time day in and day out same thing over and over it would become pretty bad if nothing ever changes it would be like nothing you ever did mattered. Sometimes change can be a good thing sometimes not, but if it was the same all the time it wouldn't be much fun either and we all need to have a little fun and adventure in our lives at some point or we would become pretty boring people and i always want to be someone who has a good time and others like to be around. We can never be afraid of the unknown, because sometimes when you least expect something wonderful could be waiting around the next corner and that would be a shame if we would of missed that, because we were stuck in the same boring routine everyday.

What you said is right, at least for me. But I know some people do like routine and like things to always stay the way they are, and I can understand that, building our life in a certain way can make us feel safe so no wonder a change in that safe routine we created can be not welcome or scary for someone.

In the past, I used to hate changes of any kind. I used to like routine stuff. No that I am older, I learned to embrace change and appreciate it. Now, if there are changes in my life, I just deal with it and become more flexible. In recent years, there have been a lot of changes in my life like friendships, career, etc.

That's good, I'm glad to hear you talking positively about the recent changes in your life. Your experience is very particular in my point of view as I think that usually when young people are much more open to changing and do not like stationary rigid things, and then growing older is much easier to accept and build a routine..

What would life be without change. It would cease to exist. We all need cange whether it is welcomed by us or not. Without the burdens of change we can not move forward.

AS far as I am concerned, I think I prefer to see the thing as it stays the before. I do not want to see the thing change so quickly in a day or some short time. For me, I am used to see as it is. But,if the changes must be made, I think it is OK for me, I will still love aas before. Because I love the thing , so what ever it is , I will love it .

I can imagine some people like you do not want that some of their things in their life changes and that's probably when they've waited or worked for a long time on that thing. But do not forget that sometimes in life changes come without us being able to choose, so it is not only when that change must be made, sometimes it just comes, how would you deal with it?

I love changes, but i guess it would only be change of things i don't like. Obviously i would like all the great stuff to stay the same. Im not fan of routine because then you don't get to make the most of things, you just keep going day by day and personally i would get bored, and i do :)

Yours is another point of view, I like changes and welcome them, but I don't want some specific things to change, then some mylotters said that they like their routine and you, that like things to change constantly not to feel bored, thanks for sharing your point of view

I like change. I'm with you..things get boring and sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy if things are the same for too long. I need a change in my life now. I don't have a job (my bf doesn't want me to work), I stay at home all day every day in a small apartment watching tv or on the internet, we hardly ever go anywhere because he's always working... ugh! I just need some sort of change. I've been thinking of starting college. That would be good for me right now I believe. And while you mention it, I think this room could use some rearranging!!

hehe I am glad I brought you some ideas. I'd suggest that you should find something that makes you happy, clearly staying at home without a job watching Tv is not what you really want to do in this part of your life, so why to waste it?? Find something that you find interesting and go enjoy it!!!

Well, I do like change for as long as they are for improvement. We all know that nothing is permanent in this world except change, I have accepted that fact already. The important thing is to know how to adjust to these changes and do what we have to do to fit in for such change.

YOu're right, changes can make us feel disorientated at time but it is all up to the person's strenght or skill to adapt to new situations that will make the change positive or negative be less disorientating.

I like changes, but at the same time i keep some my habits, are habits that I have never change, but i am open to change what must to be made. Don t scares me changes, but to be honest, I did not like radical change, I like the changes made step by step.

Well to change a few things is fine but I don't think anybody would like if everything in their lives would change and yes like you said a change step by step is always the best as it gives time to get used to the new circumstances.

Sometimes, it is just nice to see things change up every now and again. Living the same old, same old things in life can be rather boring. In fact, it can just seem like we are going through the motions. There might be the need to change it up for whatever reason. Life needs to be made more interesting from time to time to avoid being sunk in a rut. Of course, that does not mean change just for the sake of the change. There are times where people just change things for little reason whatsoever. The fact is they were no better or worse off from the change. It had very little meaning. Therefore it is times that life should remain the same as changes would mean very little. So mostly staying the way things are, with changes here and there just to keep things interesting.

Well I personally believe that any sort of change is nice, even the small ones that do not really make a change in our lives, changes are just to break the monotony of everyday's life. Like I said even changing hairstyle now and then or maybe a new kind of cloth can be nice.

I like both of them. I like change when it relates to my hair style, fashion or atmosphere in our surroundings. but I don' like changes when it happens to my partner feeling to me or his attention. all I want to say is that I like change in something it should change to avoid boredom. but I don't like change when it happens to something should change.

That's true changes can be positive or negative. I think we all have things that don't want to change because are those things that make us feel safe, and thinking of that changing can make us feel very insecure, I understand what you mean and I think you're right.
12 Mar 10
Good question. Change doesn't exactly scare me, but I do like things to be just so, and as the saying goes 'if it aint broke then don't try to fix it'. When it comes to personal things like clothes and hairstyles I can go through some pretty dramatic changes. Whenever I go to the hairdressers I never have a trim I have a complete restyle. The last time I had my hair cut I went from long hair to a little pixie cut.

Sorry for the late reply but I've been busy. I know a lot of people like to restily their looks, wether it is their hair of clothing, that's fine. But what about the big changes in life, like moving to another place or taking an important decision that will change your life??

If things always stay the same through all the time then it would make like become boring! So i think we should have changes in our life to make it more interesting! But,still, there are something in life that i would never want to change like:love,family,friendships...

Love, family and friendships can always change in better, or may someone new will come in the group, see changes can be positive and negative, it's difficult not to be happy for positive changes, negative changes on the other hand can be really helpful at times...
