Here's a photo to check out. It's attatched to the discussion. Most know I love burning my candles daily. I also love playing with them. I poured the wax from the burning candle into an empty cellophane wrapper from a pack of cigarettes. It's all from the same candle yet different coloroed layers. I wonder how that happened? Maybe different temperatures as I poured each time? Anyone know why? Anyone else love playing with candles and or the hot wax? As always..... HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!]

Sometimes I'll dip my fingertip into the hot liquid wax then peel off my fingerprint when it cools off. I've also ppoured it into my palm to play with etc. As always..... HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!

thats fascinating stuff. i must confess i am a bit wary of candles in case the pets knock them over. but i do like the perfumed candles, the really big ones that take ages to burn down.

OK, I confess...I love to play with hot wax too lol. I like to drip from a candle on something metal (with a raised design) and then have a reverse design in the wax. Sometimes I'll even go a little further and take the dried wax design and pour a little plaster of paris in it and get a repeat design/doo-dad, or sometimes I'll take my little wax thing I made and re-stick it to the outside of the candle with a little more melted wax. Talk about a burning desire hehe. Every once in a while I take all my used candle stubs and re-melt them, add a wick and come out with a whole new candle. Never poured any into cellophane though, how'd you ever come up with that?! That's kind of neat how that one of yours came out.

A lot of people love candles, whether it is making them & seeing what new designs they can create. Or just burning a candle here & there. I know you love burning candles. Do you go into creating them yourself? Trying out different designs? Apart from the one you accidently created in the pic. I used to make candles in my late twenties. Nowadays I just enjoy burning them, usually when we have visitors. Its nice having the candles on the kitchen table.

I'm surprised that the wax didn't seep out of the cellophane. What are you going to do with it when it's full?
