What makes you Write in Mylot?

Can you imagine just how many discussions you created and responded to? I believe that if a person is dedicated to do a work then he is passionate to that field. Then is it passion that triggers you to open a new discussion? I admire you then.

I don't know if it's passion or not! I came here hoping to make a little money, and that I have done. Not much, but a little! I think just a general interest is what keeps me coming back. I enjoy reading and responding to such a variety of topics. I also really enjoy hearing other people's opinions on matters. It's the people and the interaction that keeps me coming back!

the reason why im here is to earn extra income, and for me to do that is of course to post topic and response discussion coz if im not going to do that then whats the use of being here since i dont even have personal friends here unlike in facebook where i can talk to them. so if i write here it means that i need to do it for me to earn something from it. besides it also help me a lot to practice my english here and get some advise from those well experience people when it comes to personal problem.

Not so much as a passion, but a need to blow off steam, share knowledge, communicate with like-minded people and to learn new things.

I didn't create many discussions, but there is something that makes me stay on myLot... I guess it's just fun to be part of a community through exchanging thoughts, opinions or just communicate random every day subjects. And it's also fun that geography does not set long distances on myLot. I'm sure you know what I mean. There are some subjects raised here that you usually don't think about much when you're alone, but you discover you have a great interest for that...

Hi Sunkernjs, I have never thought of it in this way. I measured by the amount of money I earned through mylot. If I can maintain the constant rate of ten dollars per month in mylot, I will get a hundred and twenty dollars in a year, and in five years' time, the total income is six hundred dollars. The problem is that time is limited. I cannot possibly spend so much time in discussion just to get the six hundred dollars in five years' time. That is why article writing and blogging are still my preferred methods of making money online. It is rather hard to count the number of posts generated in a day. It is nearly impossible to think about the number of posts in a year. Sometimes, in a same discussion thread, I have a few posts, so the number of posts next to our id here is a grossly underestimated number.

I write in myLot for a lot of reasons. One, is obviously the small payment we get. It's not a fortune but it helps pay down my debt. Every little bit helps right? Two is because I like the people here. Three is because it gets the juices flowing for bigger creative work such as the short story contest I'm in or poetry.
