Do U Prefer Usage Of Emoticons For Good------Or Bad

We come accross many emoticons in our responses --- they help us to show our current mood especially if you're enjoy the interaction--- Some are quiet comfortable using the WUB,WOOT or some others which are provided very much like me . Do you really think that we can express our hatred or dislike using the emoticons provided in here If i come accross an Angry or DOH emoticon in an interaction then i would back off for sure---it indirectly shows that i'm offending the person or annoying him/her---or they're not enjoying my company . The same holds with the Wink Emoticon which shows their carelessness towards your comment--- What do you think then --- do you prefer using them to show friendliness or use them as an indicators to say ----- WHY DONT YOU LEAVE ME ALONE

First, how dare you insult me like that just because I use the "angry" emoticon once in a while! Second, I usually use the "DOH" emoticon to show that I was being silly or dumb or having a "DUH" moment, and sometimes I use it when other people are doing that, too. Third, I have never thought about the "wink" emoticon as dismissive or careless of your comments. I actually thought that it was more of a flirty emoticon like when you wink at someone that you like or to indicate an "inside joke".

I knew that you weren't talking about our interactions, Sunny, but I just couldn't help playing with you and joking around. Actually, there are only a few times that I have used the "angry" emoticon when I was really angry. I usually use it joking around to show fake anger when I am teasing someone like I did with you in my original response. Hex - You usually make me smile, and I use the "wink" emoticon when I would be winking in real life to flirt with someone.

That wasn't pointed to our gang PA---i was talking in general about other mylotters I think i have placed the DOH emoticon in the wrong category The Wink emoticon is used to show flirt signs ---i think it does stand to show it but it stands more of the meaning i mentioned you would accept with me if you have seen some boxes in others discussions with that emoticon---there isn't anything to flirt lol in a serious discussion

Well my BB. Let me think on this. To all my other friends here i use them as it will be the exact emotion i feel. But for someone else who is the culprit just here, i like to irritate the hell out of him. As i know i can do to him just what i want. Don't you agree, my BB?? But, i will back of when someone want to be left alone. TATA.

Wow, I know that I was gone for almost a week, but you guys really are making it difficult for me to ever catch up to you. I just realized that you are both in the 1500s and I am still stuck in the 1400s, which is over 100 less than Sunny, and his count is lower than yours. I guess that I will have to be the "new kid on the block" now. By the way, Happy Belated April Fool's Day to both of you!

Emoticons are understood without the need for language. I like to use them if they are available handy. I don't think people who are really having hatred or dislike use emoticons to show it. Instead, such emoticons when used with close friends, convey more friendly messages! In general, emoticons convey the tone in which the responses are given as in real life how we would behave.

They sure come handy when we want to be express ourselves in limited words.you never know Kat there might be some who aren't comfortable to break open things and they prefer to keep themselves---some of their responses does show some hints about it

I use emoticons very often. I guess because it's on the internet and not conversation face to face I like using emoticons to show my expression And mylot has added quiet a few new emoticons lately so I'm hoping I get to use more of them. Most times I just use the smiley one but all of them look so cool. I think emoticons are a good way to express emotions online. ~animegirl

I like your profile avatar and your signature lol---they seem to be DAMN perfect.Coming to emoticons---i think these are few compared to the ones we find in yahoo messenger they're real cool to engrave within our responses in here .great day.

You've really got to be careful on what you assume an emoticon means, the "doh" emoticon may just mean the user is being silly and not that they want you to back off from their discussion. I use all sorts of emoticons, sometimes the silly one to convey a silly mood, I believe others do this as well. As for your question, I would rather use them for fun and so good.

Yuppppp you're right the DOH emoticon was misplaced by me---there was supposed to be Angry emoticon only .being in a hurry can make topsy turvy

Hi sunnycool. I usually will use my emotion icons to show friendliness or my expression towards a thought or a feeling. I hardly ever do it when I annoyed at a member here. My emotions are normally used when I have a good or bad feeling about a subject of an discussion.

I prefer using a Angry emoticon to show my anger on a bad incident which has been shared by a mylotter----except that you hardly find me using it too cream

I love this facility on My Lot, I think it's a great idea. I generally only use the smiling face though and rarely use any of the others! I think that it just adds quality to your post and makes it more colourful! I like the laughter emoticon rather than constantly typing lol all the time, it's far easier to have a yellow laughing face! I remember when I first started on My Lot and how I was unable to use the emoticons as a result of not having made enough posts! When I finally graduated to the point where I was able to use them I was really happy! Well, I think they're a great idea all the same! Andrew

I started using them way back but i was late in identifying them too---i did search a lot for them right from my first post but wasn't really successful lol---i took help of my friend then .Usage of more than one emoticon in a single response takes away the seriousness of our posts---so i tend to avoid them when i'm responding seriously

I just use them to show my emotions, that why they called it emoticons right? I never meant to annoying the person, just wanna show them what i felt. that's it, we can make friends if we know how each other feelings right. It gets me to know how my friends feelings too.

I love emoticons! They're cute, and I think that they make answers softer looking, as it always sounds less serious to read something with a funny face on it. Of course, there are angry icons, but if I was really angry I would never use an icon, as I wouldn't be on the mood for it. Icons are something that I like a lot

There are some cases where we cant use the funny emoticons coz it might make our posts meaner---the host may not take them seriously so i prefer voiding them as per the discussions i post in. A post without a emoticon doesn't mean that i'm angry rather than it shows that i'm serious about my post

hi sunnycool I do not look at the way I use emoticons that way.if the discussion is about s omething really bad I may use the devil, and the evil grin, and maybe the dunce cap as I am labeling the contents not the poster, theres a big difference and I would hope to heaven people do not think I am using emoticons to point at them, but at the topic, you should not take the emoticons to be directed at you as I am sure others here dco the same thing, if we are talking about wife batterers I am use the devil and the evil grin to show my feelings on the topic, as I never ever imagine anyone would feel I was using those agains the poster.Yes I use them to show my mood but my mood is not against the poster but the good topic or bad topic or in between topic.I will never express hatred towards anyone here. If I truly felt that way I would never respond as i am here to enjoy mylotting and have fun. lol lol lol.

I think the emocotins are an expression of feeling, but I don't really use them. Though depending on the person I've seen it both ways, but I take it all in stride. I don't pay attention to what it indicates and usually pay closer attention to the context around it to gain the meaning.

Well, i do use emoticons to show happiness, fun and my feel towards a situation. At critical discussions i never use it, coz i am bit concerned on how that emote will make them feel. So i always use the lol for my happiness and no icons for others sadness.

you would find all my responses with atleast one emoticon .if you dont find one then i'm serious in my post ---just kidding Its good to see people who love to have fun rather than showing something else indirectly
