As for me ,I am used to set up an alarm on my phone to wake me up everyday.I have to wake up at 6:30 AM,so my phone will ring at 6:15 AM.When the alarm goes off the first time ,I feel it's difficult to get up immediately,so I need some time to butter it.So what's your habits,do you need a clock alarm to wake you up everyday?

yeah I do but when I was a bit younger I don't. I used to automatically wake up at exactly 5 am but now I need alarm to wake me up. I don't know why.

Mabe it because when we were young,we feel vigorous and everyday is full of surprises. But when we grow up,everthing is different and we have got used to the way of life.We don't expect the surprises and more cause it becomes more and more difficult to make us pleasantly surprised .

I wake up whenever I wish unless I have something I have to do. I haven't an alarm clock for about two years now. When I was a kid I ignored my grams and mom when they tried to wake me up. I hated it. I am a night owl. I enjoy the night after everyone in the house is asleep and it is quiet. I get some of my best work done then.

If it weren't for the fact that I had not only the alarm on my cellular phone and also my alarm clock, there is no way that my daughter would ever make it to school on time. I really do depend on the alarm to wake me up. I attribute a lot of that to the fact that I used to work third shift when my daughter was little and working an off shift when I was younger threw my circadian rhythm off and that is the reason that the alarm clock is what I need to get Kathryn up for school in the morning.

Well yes without which i can never think that i will wake up so responsibily by myself. Though my wife wakes me up, the annoying alarm sounds stops my sleepy mood. I get up staring the alarm and smile at my wife.lol

The alarm clock is something that I tried to use at one time to get me up and going in time. It rarely puts me in a good mood. I am pulled out of a deep sleep when it goes off. Granted, there is a good reason when I need to get up at that time and without it, I am just going to get up around that time anyway to begin with. Still, there is just something about an alarm clock that really puts the day off on the wrong foot. There is just something about waking up on my schedule that puts me in a better mood. Granted, that might only be about a minute or two later than I would be waking up without that alarm clock. Still that little bit of time does make the difference. A huge bit of difference, as it can seem long hours when I wake up with the alarm, as opposed to waking up on my own and getting ready for the day.

Hi Lingjipingzong, I am also use my hand phone as my alarm clock. I used to set it at 6.30 am. It is true that we usually did not just wake up at the first ring. Sometimes I only woke up after the third rings (each ring would stop for 10 minutes before it rang again). I really need my alarm clock (hand phone) to woke me up. Otherwise I will sleep until late in the morning.

langjipingzong hi oh for the retired life no longer have to use the alarm that Iused for years and years. but oddly we have to get up at six o clockin the morning here but I have managed each morning without an alarm. I am not a morning person so this is still hard to get used to for me.even working I did not have to get up till seven oclock in the morning and be to work at nine. I do so love not having to listen to that alarm any more lol lol lol. Happy Easter.

I set my cell phone alarm and my clock alarm. I set both in case the electricity goes out and my clock alarm doesn't work or for some odd reason my cell phone alarm doesn't go off. Then I can rely on one or the other. In the spring and summer I am usually up before my alarms probably because it gets lighter earlier, but in the winter I rely on my alarms. Sometimes when I have to get up for something, I sleep right until my alarm. If I don't have to get up for anything, I get up on my own. It's weird how that works.

I even can't imagine how people can get up early without a alarm in cold days.In spring and summer ,even though it gets lighter or I have wake up ,I am still used to set up a alarm. But you have two alarms,I bet you never wake up late cause you don't have the chance.

I use to use my mobile phone's alarm to wake up everyday. But you know, using alarm is not advisable. It disturbs your brain and causes stress. It's better to avoid alarm. Initially I didn't realize this thing. But nowadays I can feel the difference. When I wake up without alarm, I feel fresh throughout the day. But if I use alarm, then that's the end of my day! I become more tired, feel depressed and this makes my day worse!

I don't really like alarm clocks! I think they are irritating and make a lot of noise!. I prefer to wake up to natural daylight, I think this is far healthier! Still, I suppose the alarm clock has its uses! It stops you from being late for work I guess. I think if I was to purchase an alarm clock then I would go for one that makes you a fresh cup of tea each morning! As soon as the alarm clock starts blaring away the boiling water starts to pour and this also contributes in helping you to wake up more easily. I cannot remember the last time I used an alarm clock but I'm thinking that it must be quite a few years ago now! Andrew
