Is it okay to admire/to have a crush on a priest?

I'm just wondering if it's okay to admire a priest, or to have a crush on him. Is it okay?Or is it already a sin?

I'm guessing you're catholic. Catholics probably would say so, but actually the bible does not say priests cannot marry. Love is not a sin, as someone else stated. As long as the priest isn't married, or with someone.

Having crush to a priest is not a sin. what a sin is having an affair with those holy priest as i have heard in the news. It is just okay to admire them and i think it is normal what is abnormal is falling in love with them..as i have learned that catholic priest practices the doctrine of celibacy and that they are disable to marry. the will remain single forever.

You can admire him as a father or as a preacher of God's word, but not in the sense of hoping that if there is a law that priests are to be married, that he would propose to you.

admire and having a cruch is two different things, admiring would be ok because i guess you like how he does mass or speak, but crushing on one is wrong and kind of creepy. but to me i dont its a sin its life and your feelings. as long you dont act on them

Religion is a mine field that I navigate away. I am not sure what you mean by admiring, but if it's like a crush on Brad Pitt without any action on your part, I don't think it is something to be worried about. I think we should only be answerable for our actions and not our thoughts, otherwise I should be in jail for some of my criminal thoughts.

I usually refrain from any discussions about anyone's religion, however here is my point of view. LOVE is not a sin. Whether YOUR religion supports the idea regarding priests, is another matter. This is something YOU will have to contend with. cdrxo
