An the weather man says...NO INTERNET!

Hope this posts........every other one these past few days has been zapped into oblivion the second I hit submit! We've had some fierce, and I mean fierce, wind storms here the past three or four days. And that has played havoc with my net connection. So please excuse my non-response to your comments on my discussions. I will get to them when I can and my internet connection is more stable. It is so frustrating to write something, copy it, and lose it over and over because my computer gremlin knows just when to zap me offline! Nasty little gremlin! lol In then meantime, I have a town to clean up. The streets are littered with uprooted trees and bushes, and roof shingles, and bits and pieces of sheds and trailers and other various debris. It's a mess. And the winds are still rushing around, crashing into each other as two storm fronts collide. No rain yet..........that joy is due in a couple of days. So we need to get things cleaned up before hand. If this post actually makes it onto the site, I'll be dumbfounded! lol What has frustrated you lately.............? Damn! Have had to try to submit this FOUR times! C

Strange that as soon as I decided to answer this one, my connection got in trouble! 20 mins of headache and for now it seems to be fine. We'll see... That's really frustrating to just post and repost without any success. Hope everything will get to normal sooner.

I have had less problems like that since I got my att internet card. What I always loved was the fact that it would happen when you written this long response, and did have a chance to save it, so you could just paste it in and try again. There have been a few times that I just gave up, lol. Sounds like you're having straight line winds your way, uprooting trees and such. I would rather have good rain then what it is doing here today, just spitting rain.

hi sparkofinsanity we had those fierce winds here last Wednesday and while we were sitting in front of Walmart waiting for the Gold Crest driver to return, the wind kept blowing our grocery carts away.finally has to sit with one hand on the cart so I would not have to get up and chase it down. today its pretty calm now but rains are expected tomorrow. wow sounds like you have a big mess in the town on your hands,You are forgiven as we can see you have a big clean up job ahead. Lets see oh lately well actually last Tuesday I spent all afternoon and early eve in the ER while they worked to get the steroids out of my system and get my high blood pressure down to a safe level as w ell as my high blood sugar, my doctor had put me on steroids to get rid of the hives on my left leg but neglected to up my diabetes meds to compensate for the extremely high blood sugar caused by the damnable steroids.I nearly had a stroke over this little gem by my doctor who knows I have had diabetes for many years. So my blood sugar was almost 400 when I got to the ER and my blood pressure 210 over 69 much too high. they first got my blood pressure down to a safe number, so I would not have a stroke, then got my blood sugar down. never will I ever again let a doctor put me on steroids as they are hell on a diabetic. Others do not have that problem but I sure did.

Hi Sparks...sorry to hear things have been such a pain for you. My own satellite dish and the works were knocked askew earlier this year and it was almost 3 weeks for the blasted thing to be repaired. I was invited to a friend's home on a daily basis to share her connection but that got tired very quickly...I felt like I was imposing and I became really uncomfortable going every second day even. What a shock to realise how pathetic is the Internet's hold on me.

What a mess this seems to be. I'm sure you have a huge mess to clean up. he thing is every time you get it cleaned the winds just mess it up again. I have found other peoples thing in my yard too during high winds. Parts os houses are the worse, because we know someone has to repair the damage.

Look!!! Your post made it. woohoo. Yes, there are times when things are frustrating. The question of the week for me has been............why is it so hard to go out to dinner? Sounds stupid but it seems to be true lately. The drive to the restaurant seems to be longer than normal. I think it is just my perception but it could be that there are just way too many other cars on the road at the same time that I am on the road. Did they not know they were supposed to be somewhere else and not in my way?? Go figure.

I have only received one of your postings in the last few days. Glad to know that you are all right, just watch out for falling trees some of them fall after the wind has gone. Blessings

We have wind sessions come and go. It has been pretty calm lately. I do not envy the clean up from wind damage. I do get frustrated from time to time with the computer, but I never seem to have the extent of problems my friends do. Take care, we know we will see you when it is done.

It does not sound like fun at all. We had a huge storm here in Perth Western Australia in March. Not many people here had seen anything like before. I am not exaggerating here the hale stones were as big as golf balls and we are now left with so many damaged cars some of which cannot be repaired! Insurance companies are working overtime to cover all claims for property and vehicles. We were lucky and had no damage but it’s been devastating for some who lost more than their Internet although fortunately no humans were hurt. I hope the weather has improved for you by now…

I can relate I know how you feel I use to live in Texas and when the tornado weather hit you could not do anything. I mean the weather could look nice out side just windy and you still could not do anything do to the wind. So, good luck and don't worry. I never get to comment back to everyone any ways either. Since the cancer and surgery I get to tired to easy. *Peace and Love get's you through everything in Life*

I use a modem for my internet connection and I know how you feel when disconnection happens lol. I even rant on my network provider for those times when I get a bad connection. I'd say we almost feel the same, I even get those bad connections even on a fine day not like you where the weather is really bad.
