Wow, my little Fellow really surprised me this morning
As mentioned in a previous Discussion both Gissi's Girlfriends are in Season
This morning on the Field there was a Dog on the Loose who apparently is always out on his own, at first Gissi was not bothered by him, until he went to sniff Bonnie and Molly, well he was there like a shot chasing this Dog away, this dog was the Size of a Boxer Dog, Gissi was standing in front him, growling at him, then he started chasing him, then he stood there barking, the other Dog still running
Every time this Dog was close to the Girls Gissi would come charging over and chase the Dog
I was amazed at him as he still has not tried anything with the Girls but he is very protective over them
The Dog kept coming back and Gissi was getting really irritated with the Dog, everyone was praising Gissi lol, every time he had chased the Dog away he looked back at me as if to say, 'Look Mum I have chased him away so he can't get Molly and Bonnie', bless him he was so proud of himself
As we came of the Field, the Dog come heading back towards us, at first Gissi did not see him, but when he did, now I was shocked at this, he went charging up to the Dog, ran straight into him, then stood between the Dog and the Girls and snarled at him, showing his Teeth, the Dog backed of, he then went to Girls as if to check if they are ok, he then walked not far from the Girls and he was so proud of himself lol
You can always tell by the way he walks how proud he is of himself lol Head high, tail up and his steps are all bouncy, also he stayed close to the Girls all the way home. looking back now and again to make sure the Dog is not close to the Girls lol
I was very proud of him, specially as he did not go out to hurt the Dog, he just warned him, I guess the teeth got the message through to the Dog lol as he backed of after that
Would you have been proud

the most wonderful dogs that there every was! Love to you both, Les

hi gissi I can just see Gissi barking right up close to that dog, then
looking back to say look mum I am taking care of my girls, see. He just
does not know hes a little guy and has the courage and heart of a big
dog, what a dog, our Gissi is. He did not intend to hurt that big dog but I bet the growling and the teeth made the big dog think I had better get the heck out of here. He really is protecting his girls, they are his pals and friends I guess. this discussion really perked me up.
I was feeling computer stupid as the last two days I have got the blue screen with a unexpected kernel drop or words likethat and had to work to get logged on,. so my son gave me all these d irections on the phone that to him sounded simple, but so confusing to me, so I really wanted to do it but i could not find what he called the command console all sorts of others icons but no command consul. so I just gave up as sure as shooting I would fowl something up and make things worse. Iam going to have to wait til he comes to see me and then make him show me just what the heck he was talking about. he he.
i am so proud that Gissi is defending his girls. they are his pals and friends. bless his big heart hugs to you both. co

lol, little Gissi...he is something else is he not? lol I have seen this type of honor and pride in my little ones as well. They are so cute when they start walking that way, lifting their little feet so high and that back so straight and head held so high. You just know they are so proud.

Very proud. Once a gentleman came to visit that I didn't like very well.....I guess Reggie could tell I didn't appreciate the gentleman so he looked at me.....looked at the guy by the door.....looked at me again and went after the guy.....I had to laugh....seems he knew I didn't like the guy.....and the gentleman never came back!

arent you afraid the bigger dogs will attack? it seems our little dogs dont realise they arent big. it would be very hard to get one off if he attacked gissi. many times ive seen dog fights over female dogs. not a pretty sight please be careful. gissi is to brave. but then ive noticed little dogs are.

Hi Bunny
I always keep a close eye
Gissi knows how to protect himself but if I see Danger I will go there straight away no matter what
Little Dogs are far to brave but I was told that most large Dogs will back of from a little one and so far I have seen it is true
But yes I do get scared at times but he is so stubborn that if I see danger I have to physically pick him up

I feel proud of him too! What a good boy taking care of the girls! I would have been worried that the big dog may have attacked Gissi but it sounds like he certainly took care of himself! He is only a small dog but he has a great deal of courage that’s for sure! I am very touched by his chivalry!

See, I told you he's turned into a dignified gentleman.
What did Molly's and Bonnie's people say about it?
