I have a home based business, but I'm not working it to the fullest extent because I don't want to take a lot of time away from my three year old son. He is the reason that I am staying at home for at least the next three years and then I may decide to take my business to the next level or I may decide to go back to work outside the house. I've learned that if you are attempting to replace a full time income from home, it really takes more than it would to be outside the house. So I've found that my part time income helps us, and I still have plenty of time to spend with my son.

I used to work at home in my own cloth diaper business. I sewed and sold cloth diapers online and locally. It took a lot of time away from my son so I stopped doing it. Just because one works at home does not mean they have more time for their children. Work is work whether it's at home or elsewhere. I did do pretty good and could have done better if I were willing to take more time away from my husband and child but I just wasn't willing to make that sacrifice. I find that working out of the home actually gives me more time with my child. I did do child care at home for a couple years after quitting my diaper business and that was more in line with my goals to have more quality time with my child. You might want to look into that :) Whatever you do, good luck, it's all hard work.

I do and I make sure its projects that I can work on sporadically. I go through odesk.com which has proven to be a good site, and I know its valid because i've already gotten my first payout and my next one is due next Wednesday. I do the work when my lil one is napping.

Hi LillyBelleDaisyRose! Good to know that I am not alone in this situation. Welcome to the boat! It's really hard to be away from our children, not to mention the worry each minute brings of not being able to see them personally. As of now, I am doing a freelance writing. It's not that big but reasonable since I don't expend in transportation and luxurious foods. And I only have to give 4 to 5 hours a day to earn. I think it's worth trying!

I think you may try cross stitch. It is easy to learm and simple to operate and don't take much time.Besides, the income is good. Many home Mommies in my country do this to earn some money. It is right for you I think.
