I used to read a lot but I don't seem to have enough time anymore. I miss reading and I want to take time to read a book but my toddler takes up most of my time. I hope you can help me with a few tips to find time to read. Thanks.

Probably I use to read in the night time.. then only I can get a good sleep... whenever I starts reading my eyes will goto sleep. it is a default program in my body.. but, when me and my friends were talking late night... I use to enjoy that chat.. but, when I take a book... the sleep suddenly appears in my eyes and I will sleep....

I have less time to read since I had my first child too. I work a full time job and I will read on my lunch break at work. I also read at night while putting my son to bed. If I ever have time to soak in the tub, I read while in the tub and while using the bathroom as well.

How about when your child is either taking a nap or when he sleeps at night. I know its hard to find the time. My daughter has a 4 year old girl and once everyone is asleep she will sit in bed and read for awhile. You have to have a set schedule to find the time in your life. Good luck to you.

I think the best time to read is just before going to bed. My sister has two babies and that is what she does. She puts them to sleep and then gets down to reading her book. I don't have kids so that is the best tip I can give you. Hope you can get back to those books. I am an avid reader too and I can imagine how much you must miss them :)

Yes me too. I simply miss the times that I would just lay down in my bed and read the novels of P. Coelho while eating peanuts. Or I go to a coffee shop an spend almost the entire day having coffee and reading a book. Now I feel so stressed with work that I don't have time anymore to sit and read.

You can probably sneak an hour or two of reading after your toddler goes to bed. At that age they should be going to bed pretty early. You can use the time after he goes to bed and before you turn in to relax and read. It might not be as much as you want, but it's still a good amount of reading time.

That's right, the day seems to be to short to read. I try to read more on weekends and I also stand up earlier in the morning to read a bit before my family stands up and work starts for me, as the breakfast has to be prepared and a lot of things more... I think that, when a person really wants something, you always find the way to do it. Just try to organize your time.
