What is exactly your taste for a discussion?

This is what I experienced, every time I would plot a topic in advance, I could hardly get responses… especially if it would require a longer attention. Have you experienced this kind of thing? Yet, when I would write posts directly here on the box, a topic that would just come out in my mind while I am here, it would yield several friends… This is what I am trying to figure out now. I know that the more responses you’ve got, the more fun you’ll experience here though what count most are the quality responses you received. Well, now I would try to have a question, I hope that this would clear things out somehow in its little way. What is exactly your taste? In terms of its genre and the way it is written down here… Do titles would count much?

Hello Prime. Well, i have a lot of different tastes. But there is a few i will not go to. Good humour, a good fight now and then, for the health, you know. Maybe a bit of problems, sadness and definately love. That one is my alltime favourate. I might try cricket, just to irritate someone, but that is where that one ends. What kind do you like?? TATA.

I just got my butt in here my B... I am so thankful I found a good one... Well, I like humour too, I am not really particular about the genre, I am more on the ideas and fun I guess I would able to harvest from a certain topic...

I always try to figure out a good topic for people to respond to but sometimes it don't work and sometimes it does. I don't get many people responding to my post that I put up. But they sure want you to respond to theirs. So most of the time I just respond to my friends posts.

Hi Prime, I missed you to very much. I miss us getting together and talking on here. Oh my you have know idea how busy have been. With my daughter being in the Miss Ohio Pageant that has me busy. Putting my flower beds together and starting my garden. Running down to my daughters house to take care of my granddaughter while her mom works. Trying to fix my house up and sell 5 puppies. I have been on my toes a lot sometimes none stop. I have been tired and wanting to relax but that isn't going to happen anytime soon yet. I have to get up early in the morning and meet a lady that wants one of my puppies. Then after that I have to take my daughter out to practice for her pageant. Trying to work online as much as I can when I can. I am far from cashing out on here. So how are you Prime? And I like your new photo of you. Hugs

I also started a handful of discussions that never got responded to and they are the very topics that I'm aching to have responses on. But that's okay. As long as mylot hasn't deleted those. Maybe someone finds it and takes the time to share his idea even after 3 years. As for your questions, I like topics that are a bit reflective, and they come down to the bottom of our conscience. Something that always reminds us of our humanity. Sometimes, the readers have to be drawn to what anyone considers his very important discussion and it's helpful to come up with a snazzy title but any word or phrase in the title can be interesting without making extra effort on the whole title. I can even see shallow discussions here that some managed to pull off because of their attractive titles, some are even misleading but they still got what they wanted.

You are right clowdine... and you know what, honestly I thought, many mylotters also are sick of those seriously deep discussions... I do not know, but maybe they found it enjoyable to reply to those shallow ones you said... how do you think?

Well, I learned my way around here after sometime. And most people really just go here and discuss with all frivolity and I later thought as long as the topic does not offend anyone, I'll start it or respond to it. After all, we can always talk about anything we got around us.

And I guess many of us here like humour, a topic that would surely brought fun... and people here love many choices that's why we have so many interests... thanks for the answers guys.

For the most part I just start typing. I don't worry about what I am going to say beforehand, I just start to type and then the inspiration for what exactly I want to write follows. I am not talking about genres here but rather how I would word something. For instance anyone could say "The Cow Jumped Over The Moon" but if I said "The Spotted Cow Jumped Over the Moon and Landed Into the Love of it's life" that might get more attention. Or if I tried to make a dull sentence more funny, for instance "The cat chased it's tail." If I Said "Tom The cat Chased It's tail while Jerry wielded a hammer ready to strike Tom's Tail" that would be a little more funny I hope. Just type my friend, and let responses come as they do, if they don't come flooding in, maybe you'll get more responses as you comment back and the exposure to the topic is more grand then that of just your friends here.

I just have lot to say when I start typing, ideas are flooding in... thank you for this wonderful idea friend...

Really nice friend, and now i am trying to make each of my response at least 5 sentences or more, and it is so possible because of you... I am not really that poetic but I can also write some, specially if i am really on my mood... at this time, I am quiet busy, but i am really trying to catch up with the responses of my topics... For now I have no idea if I could start one this day, perhaps i can visit all my friends topic and drop there some pretty responses...

You are quite welcome and I am so glad that it worked for you. I enjoy this technique myself because there are times that some poetic words come to my mind wherein if I try to think about what I want to say before hand it becomes boring. I think this technique is also helpful to get more people to come back and rerespond to you so that a conversation can be made.

Taste? I have no taste - ha ha. Seriously, I just read a lot of the topics on the home page or specific interests . . . and if it catches my eye, I go to it. I kind of treat myLot as if someone were interviewing me - and asking my thoughts/opinions about whatever they want to discuss. Because it needs to catch my eye, I do think titles do count . . . the better it is, the more people will be attracted to it and hopefully respond to your discussion. There are a lot of discussions going on and you don't want it to get lost in the shuffle . . . it doesn't necessarily have to be creative, but at least give a reason for people to want to look further into your discussion.

HI PRIME! base to my observation here in mylot, when i post a topic which is practical to discuss or easy discussion i can received many responses, while when i post a question which direct to the point about ourselves, our lifestyle status and behavior, only few responses i received., but i am also thankful because they joined my discussion and i gather beautiful responded from myloters which i treasured most., there once opinion and some advices that we can get some lesson to learn in our daily life activities.,

It is all in the subject matter. If I can respond to the question , then I'll respond . But If I can't. I won't.The length isn't an issue . the topic Is.

Good, I also do that sarah... sometimes there is a good topic, but when i read it, i just felt I can't drop some thought, so i better leave it to other mylotters or else I would just become a mess there...

hi prime titles help to draw the mylotters in and making a good title will interest people into a least opening the discussion to see what the heck you are talking about, then if you have a quality discussion you will get responses. I like to see one that I can easily understand and relate to, something perhaps most people have experienced or knew others who have had the same problems,or something we can most of us relate to,could be a variety of topics but must be easy to read and to relate to.sometimes prime those that you get a sudden urge to make are the ones that we all find most interesting.

I guess you are right hatley... sometimes it's sad to think that there are several wonderful and quality posts that do not yield much responses because the title were not that interesting... and one thing I think that It's good to make a post right when you are online here, as you can observe what different moods of you friends in here... I am always figuring out that... the only problem I have now is lack of time to observe... and honestly I have a lack of time to wander different nice topics of my friends here...

Hi primeaque, I love sports especially football (or soccer) and I love to talk about it. Football is the only topic I usually have something to talk and it can be a long lasting talk. This is the interest that I always give a priority every time I log-in at myLot. I always check the new discussion in this interest and most of the time I would give my response. I think I give my response to 90% on the discussion in this interest. For other interest, I would check the whole discussion (post) before I decide to give or not my response. And the title is important because if I found a similar title I would not respond to it because it might being deleted.

So I might thank you for deciding to get here... I am honored of your presence... now I guess you have a lot to tell me about football... I love outdoor activities but not much about this game... but I guess this is very good one...
