Well it took me 4 hours and a half. The "good thing" they say is in the counting of votes because we will know the winner within 36 to 48 hours I think. The voting process now is longer because of the queue and some malfunctions of the machine and lack of orderliness but the counting is faster. Hope they improve next time.

good to hear that you only took 3 hours. my experience is terrible as i, together with my wife and other voters in my precinct took us 7 hours of waiting in line just to get a priority number, for only 10 minutes to vote.

I don't think today's automated elections were a complete failure. In my precint, there were no problems. Yes, the lines were long but not because people did not know what to do or the machines failed. The place where our elections were held was so small and they could only accommodate a maximum of eight people at one time. The actual voting process took me only less than five minutes. And I saw that there was a large turnout of voters, so I can say for my area and my experience, the elections were successful.

I waited 4 hours as well. I think the only reason that happened in here is the clustering of precicnt numbers. Instead of having 6 to 7 separate precincts it was combined to 1 cluster precincts which means BEI would be serving a thousand voters unlike before they have to serve less than 1000 voters per precicnt. Another reason for others is the failure of pcos to function as well. And to many precincts the voters confusion and sometimes undisciplined voters failing to fall in line properly and many are trying to butting in line. I think this automation needs more refinement and adjustment in the coming election. Although once you are able to vote the process was very fast and efficient. The problem lies in the way they clustered the precicnts to save comelec from buying pcos machine per precinct. These is what delayed many of us from really casting our votes fast.

Same here I was so upset this morning, I thought the election will go smoothly and faster for us to vote that we don't need to wait for long hours. It took me five hours ti'll my priority number served. Outside of the precinct was really congested with people who asked for a priority number, and some are complaining that they were not listed on the voter's book. I guess there are lesser voters in this election due to the system, they went back home because of the process is quite slow.

The automation was limited to the counting only. I think the problem is the lack of PCOS machine. Most precinct was cut down. In our place alone the ten precinct that we are used to was cut down to only two. Some account said that they were waiting for almost four hours to vote. Some said that they went home because they cannot endure anymore the heat and the hunger. For me I think this is unfair to the voting public since the budget for the automation is so big. If I heard it right on the TV it is around 13 billion. And we are the one, the public, who are paying for those budget and I think it's fair enough to say that the COMELEC should provide us with a smooth election.

yes i agree.. i think this automation election is a huge failure.. many PCOS machine failed to work, and even PCOS technicians dont know how to handle it.. it was very disappointing, with the big budget that our government spent for it.. when i turn the TV on, all the news was all about failure of PCOS machine in many places.. hope election's result will still be eligible inspite of some failures..
