Which writing site makes you the most money?

When it comes to sites that help you earn money, which works best? Of all the sites I am writing for now, Gather earns me the most, then Helium, then Associated Content. I've tried other sites, but could never really get them to produce in the way these do. What is your experience?

Hello, Art. Helium is my best earner. Last month, I earned $280, which is a big improvement on the $60 I earned in March. Now I've got it sussed how the site works, I'm maximising my earning potential. I got my 5th star this morning, as I finally hit 500 competitive articles, and I write mainly to Empties and Under 5s, although I do a couple of high numbered titles a week, to maintain my writing score and just because it's nice to write for pleasure as opposed to money, so if I see a title I fancy, I go for it. As I'm not a US resident, I signed up for page views with AC, but now they've changed the rules, and non-residents have to fill in a disclosure form, pay tax and earn $100 before payout, so I won't bother to put anything else on AC. I love the atmosphere on Helium now, as several of my MyLot friends are over there, and we keep tabs on each other, ask for critiques and offer hints to improve rankings. I'm delighted to say one friend has just won a writing contest - not bad for someone who only signed up to Helium in January.

That's fantastic. I don't think I have ever earned more than $60 from Helium. I am slowly, slowly working my way to 500 articles. I really think it helps to concentrate your efforts on one site (like Helium). You might want to consider joining RedGage. The whole point is to link your articles and help get more page views for them. Congrats again on your wild success!

Congrats Sandra! Way to go! You are officially my Helium hero! BTW, I am still waiting to see more articles from you in hobbies and games... :-) Are your helium articles pretty diverse or have you been concentrating on particular channels? My best earner is a sewing article.

Well, $280 is certainly a nice number. I'd be interested in that. I think I'll get an account at Helium now.

Wow, Gather is paying you better than helium? I am amazed at that! Gather only frustrates me but I am going to devote a little time to it over the summer and see what happens.

No, they said they deleted it because it was a game. No biggie. I could post it to my blog later and people can use the comment form if they want to participate. In fact, I think I will post it to the education one I have under development since that is the context in which I use it. I have to start posting more to AC so I can at least have gas money since they don't make you wait 30 for your money. I reposted a lot already but haven't turned out anything new yet.

I have earned the most consistently from MyLot. I earn a little bit from Gather. I am trying out a new one called Side Tick. I have some on Helium, but have really neglected it. I keep saying that I am going to go to one additional site each day and try to work on my portfolio. I think I have one Hub on hubpages, nothing on Associated Content or Bukisa, twelve articles on Helium. I started to blog once, but have neglected it as well.

I started out much like you. I would try something, then move to the next thing. You really need to focus on one site, build it up, then move on or expand. I think you can do well at Helium, but it takes awhile to build up your articles and stars. Once you've got that, you can consistently earn good money. I never made much from Gather, but now I am doing SocialWrite, which pays much better. However, it's an experimental program, so not sure if it will last.

Gerty you should get back to helium. My page view income is over fifteen dollars a month now and I only have to do a handful of articles per month to get to the minimum for payout leaving me plenty of time for other writing.
