When we crave of something, We plan to cook or eat that later or right away. How about your proper meal,. do you usually plan your recipe to cook or what food you are planning to eat in your mealtime. Myself don't I used to grab what is available on my fridge especially when its rush and terribly starving. But for family meal I think they used to plan what to cook for their family. How about you guys? Do you usually plan? about your food? I'll be glad if you share your views and opinion.. Happy myLotting!

Good morning Cloud, i usually do plan ahead what i'm going to cook tomorrow. Alot of time ihave to get things out of the freezer to thaw. It does change sometimes if i have a taste for something else. It's just me to cook for so i only have myself to please. It was diiferent when my sons were home. I catered to their likes.

Being a batchelor I usually don't plan my meals. I just eat whatever I have a taste for. Sometime I cook,(and I can cook),I like to make chicken dishes as it is one my of favorite dishes. At other times I just throw togather a sandwich with soup and maybe a salad. I usually let my appitite dictate what I eat. If I want a special meal I'll plan it ahead of time. For examle I also love Lamb. When I crave it I plan that meal. To me it's very special. Do you "ALWAYS" plan your meals?

I almost never plan my meal or what I'm going to eat at a certain time of day. More often then not I just make what I can pop into the microwave and heat up or eat it straight out of the box.

I usually don't plan for food but occasionally I do that. Basically for the day of holidays and when guest are there to accompany I do plan for food. More over that very well planed food preparation and planning are there for festival days. Festivals are going more interesting with special recipe and delicious food. So I have special plan and recipe for festive mood.

of course, you don't just plunge into the kitchen, hunt inside the ref and throw whatever you get in the pan. what i mean is, i always plan the meal i cook because of its contents -- the carbs, the transfats, the calories and other minerals... it has to be well balanced and should meet my daily requirement for a healthy lifestyle... i don't want to go through wanton eating again, then suffer the consequences.

Ya, actually I am not cooking so my mother plans to do so. Daily she asks me that "Keval, what to cook today, what would you like to have?". Sometimes I say cook anything what ever you like, sometimes I say to cook my favorite food. Yeah, it is my mother's daily routine that she plans to cook daily and she keeps asking me and my father and brother to what to cook.

My Mom is the cook in the house but I get to have the cooking chores from time to time. Whatever is in the fridge then that will be what you'll expect in the menu. lol Of course special occasions are important so we have to plan for the food to be cooked.

woman cooking - do you cook your own food?
hi my sweet, i think you came up to this question because of me,is that? nice one, cloud well, i'm not mad at you, don't worry. my mother used to plan what to cook for everyday or every week i can say. we usually go to the market every saturday and bought vegetables, meat,or fish and other stuffs needed for the whole week. yeah.you heard it right...for the whole week. my mother knows what we have to eat everyday by doing that. my mother is really good at cooking,i can say. most of my friends really liked what she cooked. even spaghetti,me and my siblings don't usually buy spaghetti outside,we always loved our mother's spaghetti. there was a time that i was left alone since my mother was rushed and confined in the hospital.you know,i don't really cook well but i can cook.i'm really happy that i can cook the way i wanted my food to be. it's a learning process for me but i can say i can cook deliciously... sometimes i also plan for something to cook and when we crave for something, like nowadays we always want smoothies cause it's really hot in the philippines.we used to blend fresh fruits in blender and put some sugar and milk and there goes our smoothies, the way we want it to be... have a delicious meal,my sweet...

hi again my friend, whooah... you're being safe again huh? of course anyone of us are craving for something.it's just that i found you're topic right away after i've sent you a message that i'm preparing our dinner. well,i can say maybe you're telling the truth anyway. and of course,i'm sharing my opinion when it comes to food, what i really liked and how delicious my mother cooked and prepared for us.it's all about your topic here, right?and yes of course,i could share with you my delicious food if we got the chance.we'll cook together, right? you said you are a good cook anyway. might as well share our thoughts and ideas in cooking if we got the chance to meet each other. how about that? i'm getting excited just the thought of it,makes me smile... lucky you didn't have much time preparing food cause you have a housekeeper who'll always be there to cook for you.and you have had your dinner? we always have the chance to eat dinner, not just once,my friend! so,there's always time to have bonding moments together. if time permits,i'll look forward to share food with you... i hope you feel the same also...

yes. I usually plan what to cook before I make a meal. You need to see what you have, and what you could make with it. If you can't make something with what you have, then you need to get more ingredients to make something. If you just go in there, and grab something, and start cooking it, then you might realize you are missing an ingredient, and now you'll have to throw it out, or try to replace that igredient with something similar, that might be just as good, but most likely will ruin the dish. When I cook its just not something to cook. I don't go "here i made you something to eat." I want it to be great. I want people to really enjoy it. I want to see people going back for seconds without me saying anything to them.

It sounds that you are very attentive in household chores and responsibility, are you in charge with that?.Indeed very impressive to a man who can track down the things in the kitchen and careful enough to manage with all these stuff.Keep it up, you have a good practice in life!

Hi Cloud! I am in charge for the marketing but still I don't plan out ahead of time on what to cook for our meal. I know that it should be better if everything has been planned out for a week or even just for 3 days meal but I always fail on that. I would go to the market and buy regular things fish, chicken, pork, veggies and plan out after what we should have. Or sometimes I would just think of what to prepare when I'm already in the market. If you would like to be economical it would always be best to prepare ahead of time so that you would know what to buy and you wouldn't be wasting some food in the fridge.

Hello raja, Yeah you are right it should be plan beforehand to make things in proper especially for the tracking budget.I agree with for that since we use to have food in the shelves or fridge we just have to grab it sometimes and have it done,. Thanks for the additional info.Good day !

Most of the time I don't plan out what I am going to cook. I cook whatever is available in the fridge but I make sure that we have a soup, vegetable and a protein based dish either fish or meat. Unless, I want to cook something special then I'll plan it out early so I can buy the ingredients in advance.

Hello ms zandi, That's the right way to cook I guess, what things is available make used of it then it make things easier without burden to think what to serve for the family unless of course for some special recipe as you have said. Thanks for sharing, Have a nice day ahead!

Hi. cloud31. I usually will plan what I want to cook before I do so. Especially, if it is going to be a big dinner or Sunday dinner. If I am hungry for a snack, I usually will know what is available in the refrigerator for me to grab on.
