What's you favorite non-Disney animated film? (Aside from The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline) My favorite cartoon movies are the ones from the late 80's and 90's- the ones I grew up watching: Land Before Time, Rockadoodle, The Alvin and the Chipmunks Adventure and All Dogs Go To Heaven. I also love the Studio Ghibli movies, which in my eyes are of equal greatness to Disney. ^o^

You just named some of my most my favorites! I remember seeing the original Land Before Time in the theater.. I think I was 9 or 10. I cried my poor little face off. I *loved* Rockadoodle, haven't thought of that cartoon in years! All Dogs go to Heaven is such a classic, my 8 and 10 year old nieces begged me to watch that with them just last weekend, and I so happily agreed :) - Others would be An American Tail, Anastasia, The Secret of Nimh, The Last Unicorn, and my all time Favorite EVER - Ferngully :)

Practically anything by Hiyao Miyazaki. It's hard to name a favourite, but "Princess Mononoke", "Kiki's Delivery Service" and "Spirited Away" are certainly close to the top of the list. Another Japanese animated film well worth seeing is "Wings of Honneamise" also known as "Royal Space Force". Not a Studio Ghibli film, it was made by another company.

yeah Hayao Mizaki is the only animator that consistently can top American made movies and won an Oscar for Spirited Away. Other than that, there are other movies such as Waltz of Bashir from Israel and Persepolis from France that also won an award recently..

I remember watching all kinds of carttons when I was younger and beleive it or not when my daughter was young I became more into some of them than she was. I genuinely enjoyed Scooby-Doo and Johnny Quest. She was into barney when she was younger and now she likes Scooby-doo and many others that I can't name right now. She literally watches that many. She's huge into the disney princesses and tinkerbell though too.

Nightmare is Disney. I think they even do over one of the Disneyland rides in a Nightmare style for Halloween and Christmas. still. in answer, it has to be Flight of Dragons and The Last Unicorn for me

That's true. I think when Nightmare Before Christams first came out it was just produced/distributed by Touchstone, then Disney bought the rights when it proved to be popular around the 10th anniversary time. Anyways, I forgot about those movies, too. I watched tha Last Unicorn, Flight of the Dragons, and The Hobbit pretty ften as a kid, too. ^o^

Hmmm..difficult question since basically all my favorite cartoon movies is from Disney or Pixar, which is owned by Disney; nonetheless many other great cartoon movies came from studios outside Disney. Dreamworks made the hillarious Kungfu Panda, Shrek, and How To Enter Your Dragon, Hayao Mizaki made many great animated movies like Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle etc..

I have grown up watching Disney’s child animation movies and that was the best time of my life really. I really enjoyed my childhood and very keen to go back in time to enjoy that again. Even i know this is not possible, but if you ask again then i would say that i have liked to see one other which was not of Disney i think and that was jungle book.

Yah I remember Land before Time when I was a little boy and like you it got me teary eyed. I just love that movie. Some animaton that is not from disney I like is The Batman Mask of Phantasm. And since one of my favorite band is The Beatles then I will include The Yellow Submarine. And ofcourse the animation of the great Hayao Miyazaki..Spirited Away, Grave of the Fireflies, Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke. And then one of my favorite Akira.

I really love Corpse Bride and think the animaion, characters, songs and everything are so clever and enchanting. I do like Disney and Pixar films too, of course, especially Up, Monsters Inc. and Ratatouille. I like cute animals in family films.
