Do you talk to people who reply to your subjects?

Lately I have noticed a pattern. I get more replies if I don't say anything back to the people who post on my topics. I don't know if its because my two favorite subjects are politics and religion and people feel intimidated that they might have to explain themselves or what. Am I really that intimidating...LOL. I like to discuss things and ideas I don't like to get into full blown arguments over subjects but I like to get my ideas out there also. It seems as if maybe I am too pushy of people just had rather reply to someone who doesn't reply back. What do you think? Am I overly obnoxious or is it just touchy subjects that most people shy away from?

For me not to talk too because if the topic is easy and understandable why not to respone.

Well maybe their afraid of you.. he he he he... I do reply on those post at my discussions. I usually ask question at my post and they are replying. So it is a good manner to reply back. And also sometimes they are asking question about my discussion, so I am oblique to reply, since I'd started the discussion.

I think this is just a matter of interest, ability and willingness of a person. To me politics and religion is an interesting discussion topic. Or maybe, it depends how the delivery of you who are not interesting?

no, I don'T think you're intimidating. I think people just enjoy more light-hearted discussions rather than struggling themselves to answer serious discussions like politics and religion. Although we really need some serious discussions here.

I can't believe that people shy away from your discussions, because of your comments ! Except one liners, I am giving a comment to anybody. I don't like to give a response to a member starting a discussion and never giving a comment. I saw some BR given without a line... I prefer to enter discussion when you can exchange your views, and I avoid members who are never commenting their discussions. I think it is a bad strategy : you probably don't get more replies, and I don't see why you refrain yourself here ? Don't have complexes : people appreciate your comments ! Happy myLotting !

evanhunter hi if you comment on all your responses with your feelings you will make it a real discussion and also you do not earn a penny on responses even if you get 100,what you do earn on is making the comments back so do not think its replies that help you earn,it is not;when we respond to your discussion we= get paid, when you comment back on our responses you get paid, and paid well. do not worry about how many replies you get, worry about getting those comments done . this is not about responses as they earn you nothing, nada, zip. you are paid for posting comments back to our responses to your discussion.of course I talk to the people who respond to my discussions, otherwise its not a discussion. No you are wrong we want you to reply to our responses, as otherwise we are left thinking you did not even read them, the idea is to comment and make it a real discussion and get paid for it. again you are not paid for the responses we make to your discussion.you have to comment to get paid. we post, we get paid, you post, you get paid..

I always try to add a comment to someone that answers my posts. Sometimes it is just an acknowledgment of their reply and sometimes a remark on what they have said. I think it's being polite and to show that I have read their comment. I've noticed that some never reply, so then how do I know they have even read my response. I mean, what is the pint of just posting if no one is reading it?

Well, I did not notice you much here at mylot, so, I cannot say much about you. I do reply to people`s posts on my my discussions, coz, I am here to discuss and to share views. However, I don`t start too many discussions.

Maybe the reason why they stop posting responses when you answer the previous ones is, they thought your problem is already resolved.
