I really just want to know what are the challenges we face when we try to promote mylot to our family, friends, peers etcetera How do you invite them verbally? or how do you promote it on your site? let's try to see what techniques you use and if it works or not in my case when i promote it verbally i often have a comparison point which is posting on forums and how you earn more if you do it on mylot instead of forums that don't pay at all and when my friends are interested i show them my website/blog and either ask them to sign up by clicking on the link for mylot or i take the extra step and email the link to them with tips and tricks on how to maximize earnings so again... how do you promote it? and what works for you and what doesn't? guys... read before commenting ok?

Well, there are not many people who are willing to join myLot. I called my friends to myLot but what I got was a lot of rejections!! Well - one of them was at least considerate enough to join and he became inactive after posting just 3 posts!! Okay. But there had to be another way to get referrals. So, I thought online promoting is better than pleading my friends to join! I promote myLot through an article that tells about my myLot experience. It tells about how I earned in myLot, what were the reasons behind my secret of success and other info! It works well for me! I got 5 referrals through it and those members also posted for a day and left soon. I got 15 cents from them - that was actually a good earning. People prefer FB, Orkut over myLot. But, myLot is a lot better than such sites according to me. No one seems to agree to what I say! So, as of now, my article is doing everything for me!!!

I definitely agree with you that myLot is WAY better than those other sites. However, I do not now nor have I ever belonged to those sites (such as Facebook, MySpace, etc.), so I guess that I really do not have much of a basis for comparison. On the other hand, I was willing to join myLot and was not willing to join those other sites, so I think that says a lot.

Kar, I think that you explained that really well. Those other sites might be fun, although they never really seemed like all that much fun to me, but this site is fun and you earn a little money to have fun. You can't ask for much more than that, in my opinion!

Aaah PA... Long time no see! Well - I do not have any accounts there too! Those sites are so boring. I do not even like the template of FB. It is so boring. It is like choosing between an empty safe and a safe full of money. I went for the safe full of money - so I got money as well as the safe. Comparing safe to fun - I got fun + money while my friends got only fun [safe]!! Your two sentences says a lot about your lot!!

I have no offline friends here who speak English well enough to join so I do all my promoting online. I promote my profile on several sites. I have a blog entirely about myLot and a banner on the others. I also have an article on Bukisa that I am promoting elsewhere too.

hi chipesterkhan I do not do referrals so I just tell all my friends here at Gold crest that have computers to come join mylot and I think several of my friends here have joined too. People will ask what all I do on my computer and i will tell them fully about mylot and about my own fun and enjoyment in being on my lot. hope 'it does persuade others to join.

I don't really promote myLot, since I am not involved in a lot of other sites and endeavors online. I do have a banner on my profile page, but I figure that by the time you take a look at my profile you are probably already a member of myLot anyway. I have tried to get a couple of people from offline to join myLot, but it has not worked out so far. When I try to see whether or not a person is interested, I am honest. If they are already a member of a social networking site that does not pay, then I figure that they might like myLot, because they will get paid for a lot of the things that they already do for free. I am very picky about who I tell about myLot, though, as I want to make sure that they will not only listen to my suggestions and information (so they do not get frustrated about not earning a ton of money right away) but also read and follow the guidelines and TOS (so they do not bring down the quality of the site), which is probably why I do not yet have a referral.

Yes, some people just do not understand the whole earning online thing. They will waste hours playing video games and chatting with friends on other sites or through instant messaging, but they act like you are an idiot when you say that you are earning money online, especially when they find out how much (or should I say little) you earn in a month, because they do not think it is enough. Hmmm ... I am at least earning for the hours that I spend on here unlike those that spend hours chatting with friends and never earn a dime, but somehow they can't understand that.

Hmmm.... Such people are hard to get unless you do it yourself! I keep calm about my earning online campaign. If people approach me about it, I can tell them. After telling them, some of them would be interested. I teach only them after TELLING THAT THEY NEED A GREAT DEAL OF PATIENCE AND A GOOD ANTIVIRUS FOR THEIR PC!!

Actually promoting online anything has become a very big challenge. As people are more aware and cautious about the things online. They don’t belive easily, even i did not believe by the time i did not get the amount. I believe now and now i verbally tell people. I did not get any referral online by online promotion.
