should George Lucas do a re-make on Star Wars 4, 5 and 6?

I mean, to compliment and connect to the 1st three part of the movie, the later part seems way out of the story..

Of course, I'd love to see a newer version of 4,5 and 6..even though it might be bad, it's still worth giving a try. But i really didn't get why they showed the 4 5 and 6 first..do you know why? And I'd also like to see the new actors who'll be playing the characters..

The story was that at the time George Lucas made the first movie of Star Wars he didn't think the technology at the time was good enough to make a decent movie of episode 1. That's why he had to start with Episode 4 because it cuold stand on its own (that's how the accepted story goes anyway.) And as for tying up I think episodes 1,2, and 3 did explain how Luke's father became evil etc. As for remake it was already remade on Star Wars 20th anniversary or whatsoever. If you ask me they shouldn't exploit these stories so much. Look at Star Trek and how the story now so horribly got changed... :(

I do not think that he should remake them. I think he should do all of the other episodes that the star wars book series has. If I am remembering correctly there are over 30 episodes and even more books then that. It would just be awesome if he could use the 3D movies for the continuation of the Star Wars series as its not even over yet.

i loved the original triology preatty much more than the 1, 2 and 3 wich was so serious and different from the old ones and george lucas indeed changed 4, 5 and 6 by masterializing it if you watch the 80's version the 97's is preatty much better :D

I actually think 1, 2 and 3 should be re-done. They were god-awful... :-) I have to admit though, that I've been curiously dabbling in the thought of a 4,5,6 remake... I don't think George should be heavily involved though.

I think 1 thru 3 tied in pretty well with 4 thru 6. I don't think he needs to remake 4, 5, and 6. He's already enhanced them with added scenes and updated visuals. If you're talking about making some significant changes to the story line of 4, 5, and 6(which is what it sounds like you're suggesting) in order to mesh better to the first three then I don't think even Lucas could do that without really screwing them up. It's impossible to improve on perfection and I think Eps. 4 thru 6 are pretty close to perfect. I say leave 'em alone. What I think would be neat would be to make a movie that would fit in between Episode 3 and Episode 4 and further explain the transition between Eps. 1 thru 3 and 4 htru 6. But, I don't know what you could call it unless it would be Episode 3 1/2.

The original Star Wars is fine, he doesn't need to remake them since he added what he wanted to the Special Editions anyway.
