We was at a friends house yesterday and this other person we know showed up. We hadn't seen this other person in a couple of years so it was nice to see them. We was all sitting around discussin the bible. And someone asked who was the first murder in the bible and of course we all answered it was Cain, but this one and he kept saying that Eve killed Adam ! We all turned around an looked at this guy we tried to show him where Cain had killed Able and he kept swearing that it was wrong. So my question to you is are you taught that Cain was the first murder? Or are you taught something different? Would this have shocked you? What would your answer be?

I can't say that I would be in shock, because it's sad that some people will believe anything if it comes from "authority" and won't bother to read the Bible for themselves. He sounds as if he trusts someone else over the Bible, though. My answer would have been to ask him how he came to that conclusion, then challenge that. The burden of proof should be on him.

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to know what to say at the time. It's no doubt a good thing that you're not seeing him any more.

Hi Peavey. We think it is a good thing that we don't see him anymore. We won't be taught something that isn't the true word of God.

Hi Peavey. I didn't know what to say except that I knew that it wasn't true. I wish I had my bible with me at the time I would have asked him to show me where it was written. We don't see him too often we hadn't seen him in over a year. We stopped seeing him and his wife cause they kept trying to get us into their religion.

I'm not shocked by that. There are lots of people like that in the world. They're everywhere. Just enjoy them! ;)

yup, we have to share them the Gospel. to me, showing them we're shocked of their comments only gives them a kick--they relish in that. They like it when people think they're shocking. so i just shrug my shoulders and smile--unfazed--and then say my piece. foolish people like that should be the ones shocked at the Good News. hihihi! good day, my friend! ;)

eve killed adam....well, in a way, when eve sinned, that killed adam, too. hihihi! when she insisted that adam take a bite--and adam did--she kinda "killed" adam. maybe this was how the guy in your bible study saw it? if so, my, the guy has a different way of seeing things!...see you around , pal!

Hi Cook. I was shocked I had never heard that one before and I am 56 years old it was a new one on me. Maybe we are supposed to show him the truth and show him the right path to take. Thanks hope you have a great day!

Yes, this would have shocked me and it would have made me wonder just where this person got that information from - certainly not from the Bible, which clearly states that Cain committed the first murder. And that's what we have always been taught because it's there in the Bible. This person needs to re-read the Bible to see for himself, and not listen to a mere man who has misguided him.

Hi Abbey. I didn't know what to say! He is of another religion then we are maybe that is where he got this from. We haven't seen him in a year or so they was trying to get us into their religion then and we just stayed away from them. Maybe we need to show him the truth. I don't know but the lady above you might have hit the nail on the head.

Greetings, This is indeed an interesting topic. I have not heard of this myself either. I would say you were in a difficult spot. However, I see that you are the one is holding the truth and not him. I want to encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit to be with you to say and show them the true light when the opportunity comes your way. It is very sad that this is going on in the world. All we can do is to be prayed up, filled with Holy Spirit and speak in love. Continue in the truth. Have a blessed day.

Hi Diane and welcome to y lot. I have tried to tell this guy and his wife that they were listening to stuff that wasn't in the bible but they kept listening to these people. I know who is teaching them this but I don't want to say on here don't want to be in those peoples shoes when the LORD comes back. So I try every chance I get to tell them the truth. We ask God for guidance daily. They think they are going to fly away and not be here when the anti christ comes back. People are going to be shocked when they don't fly away. Thanks for the response.

I would say that if he cannot find the answer for you in the Bible, he needs to show you where he got that from....I have never heard this, yes, Cain was the first murderer according to the Bible, stay true to your beliefs and try to steer him in a better direction, he is definitely getting some false teachings from somewhere...

Hi Tally and welcome to my lot. Your right we need to steer him in the right direction. I just was so surprised when he said such a thing. I got a little concerned when I heard him say this. I was wishing I had my bible so I could get him to show me where it was in the bible but I was visiting and don't carry my bible in the truck, but it might be a smart thing to start doing.

The person who says this is in error. It is clearly mentioned in the bible that Cain had killed Abel. He was the first human murderer. Adam had never killed Eve. It is not even mentioned how did they die. I am sure this person has interpreted the bible wrongly.

Hi Achilles. Yes I know your right this person is in error. But I don't want anyone to loose their soul because of their being taught the wrong message.
