I surely spend most of the time appreciating the view. Any kind of view. May it be a beach, mountain, river, tower, palace, museum, a subway station, or a street, I enjoy them all... I hardly sleep if I am in a tour. After the tours, you can see me walking on the street, the mall or just trying any mode of transport they have to offer. I also am fond of tasting their street foods. I like to have the feel of being there and thinking what is life like at their country.

when i am travelling, i like to walk around without following the travel books, or just talk with the local people, because i think it is the best way to get to know the place.

I like to see as much as I can.

I appreciate the view of course and try my best to memorize the route. But sadly, when I'm in a bus, and the trip is over 3 hours, I usually sleep. But when it's a tour bus, I try my best to check the sights even if I'm super tired.

The first thing I do when I reach my destination is to get enough rest, so that the next day, I will have all the energy and enthusiasm to walk and look around. I doubt if I can enjoy the scenery if I'm very tired from traveling.

I try not to sleep too much, since I want to spend my time doing things I cannot do at home on trips, and sleeping is something I can very well do at home, so it seems like a bit of a waste. But sometimes I get really tired on trips, like on my last trip. I was sightseeing and walking around all day, so in the evenings I was just sooo sleepy. Then I slept of course! So I don't want to say that I don't sleep on trips, I just try not to overdo it.

Herro acey76 I can sleep at home, so my goal is traveling is to visit family, friends, or site-see. That seems like a simple answer, and is appropriate.

When traveling to a new place I find myself enjoying the view and perhaps taking some photos. When I went to New Zealand I found the landscape very picturesque. I liked seeing the glorious looking beaches, mountains, glaciers and forests. I go out sightseeing in the day time and at night time I sleep so I can be wide awake the next day. I adore traveling to different places and usually there are lots of sights to see.

Next year I will be going to Tanzania if everything goes according to the plans and it will be a real discovery for me as I have never been there and there are a lot of things to appreciate too. So I don't think I will sleep in the plane though it will take me a lot of time and even there I will do my best to do not miss a single opportunity to explore life.

I would definitely, 100% will not pass up appreciating the view, exploring the places, savouring the taste of the local cuisines, enjoying the night life and just trying to absorb as much things as I can. I would try to limit my sleeping time because I don't want to waste my time sleeping when I could go out there and explore the places that I have never been to, talk to the locals and try to get a feel of the place. I do this every single time my family goes on a holiday. Lucky my brothers and I are one and the same in the head. At night, we would go out and explore the place, just walking the streets, trying out the food that they sell in the stalls on the side of the street and just observing things that we might not ever have the chance to gaze upon other than in the screen of a TV. Sleep later, explore now!! haha
