Series Finales You Hate Or Dislike

All TV series, whether they're very popular or not, eventually come to an end. Some last for years, others not. And there are those that have great finales. They provide the needed closure to our beloved characters and series. Life goes on for our characters, they get married, or achieve whatever goal or hope they wanted. Unfortunately, there are those that just seem to leave a bad taste. They aren't good and we may think we certainly could have done better. Are there any series finales that, for whatever reasons, you just hate or dislike? For me, two shows come to mind: 1) Dead Like Me -I love this show to--excuse the pun--death. Sadly, the show got cancelled after its second season. The thing is, the last episode wasn't bad or anything. It was just not good as a "series finale" as it gave absolutely no closure. As any other episode, it was perfectly great. As the finale, not so much. I'm just not a fan of "It ends just like any other episode" style series finales. They did make a TV movie that came out last year. I don't know if it was supposed to serve as a finale or what (I sure hope not--most fans will tell you it wasn't that great) but the very end I could see serving as the needed closure for the series with how much George has grown since the first episode. 2) The Sopranos -Like DLM, I never saw this show in its original run. I have caught reruns on A&E a lot though lately. I do remember when the show ended back in 2007. I remember how quite a lot of fans were disappointed to say the least. Now, it has grown on a lot of people I believe. But thank goodness I'm not the only who still realizes how stupid the way the last episode ends is. I'm sorry. Simply cutting to black is not a creative or nice way to end an eight year long series. It's a cheat and ripoff. I want an actual ending. Not a black dang screen. I understand that, according to some, it's to indicate a certain character's death. Or not, depending on who you ask. I guess that is the one good thing about it is that it lets people make up their own minds and whichever path a person chooses, they're happy in "knowing" they're right.

Quantum Leap. The worst six words on tv. "Dr. Sam Beckett never leaped home." What??? Maybe it's all innovative and gutsy or whatever to end the series unhappily or not fulfill the main character's quest. But, it left a horrible taste in my mouth. From the start of the show, I watched this very nice guy, Sam Beckett living other people's lives and wanting to get home to his own. And, getting to see other people get to have the most important aspects of their lives fulfilled (due to his intervention). And, his reward? To keep leaping into other people's lives when all he wanted was to go home. Just horrible.

Quantum Leap is one of my favorite tv series. I wasn't a huge fan of the Quantum Leap ending either. So I hear, it actually wasn't even supposed to be the series finale either. Don Bellasario and everyone else thought they were going on for another season and wasn't until the episode was written and filmed that the studio dropped the news. So he had to rush and redo the ending and they had to film it as a series finale. There's an alternate ending to it that is slightly different from the ending we got. It's not very different but I kind of prefer it though.

I think the Lost finale was pretty good, I like how it ended but is still never really answered a lot of questions brought up by that very confusing show. The 24 Season finale was OK, they left it opened so a movie could be done later on, which I think is fine. I don't think it is fair that Heroes was cancelled with out being able to have a finale, I wonder how they would have reigned everything out and ended it, it would have been a very interessting finale that really should have got to happen. I think the way Ugly Betty ended was kind of cute, I am really going to miss that show.

I just hate it when good series needs to end i mean its more like not being able to see my favorite program on the television anymore, and there are times that im hoping for so much more for that particular show and their casts, like if the ending is pretty bad then im feeling bad as well its as if i have my own version of the ending if not followed then im not satisfied with the ending. Or the thing bout me if it ends pretty good then i want some more continuation i want to know what happens next after the villain got caught and after the lead star married or whatsoever, its just unfair for me lol to see that the shows that i like come to an end .But as they say there is an end for just bout anything and all we can do is hope and pray that theres goin to be a sequel for whatever it is that will be ending
