What gift do you plan to give to your father on father's day?

Well, I bought a harmonics for my father with CD and manual instruction on how to play it. Although this instrument is very simple to play but I want him to learn the right way. What about you? do you have any plan of what gift you will give to your father on father's day?

I think we have all the same date. This celebration is universal I think we have the same date. It is not too far away just one week more and that is it.

Good for you - getting something for your dad that he can learn to do. That sounds like fun. You are very thoughtful. For my dad, my husband and I bought the book called Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters. I've heard many people highly suggest this book for fathers, and I've read a 20- or 30-page preview of it myself. It's really good. I think it's good for anyone to read as it helps in any type of relationship, but it relates mostly to fathers and daughters. It's a really special book. I haven't always had the best relationship with my dad, but now we are back to open communication so I think things are definitely working out. I just wanted to do something special for him! For my father-in-law, my husband and I got him a 3- or 4-foot level that he can use when he builds things. He is an excellent builder, especially when he's working with wood. He's built a pantry and a kitchen hutch for me along with our bathroom vanity - he is amazing at things like that! I hope it'll be a very special fathers day for those two wonderful men in my life. As for my hubby, he's not technically a father yet (unless you count our dog - LOL!), so I didn't get anything for him. Thanks for asking!

This year I am not able to purchase anything for my father because I have just lost my job. It was a job that I am happy to do and it brought me enough money to spend each months, and I still have some savings at the end of the month. But now everything is gone and I am very sad about it. I have to find another job but the pay is low since there is not much to be done. So this year I would just pray that my father will always be healthy and happy. My father is fortunate because he is rich and not like me, so I am not that worried if I don't buy him anything for father's day.

Oh!! sorry to hear that you lost your job!!! Hope you can find another one soon. I have no job for about 4 years now. I don't know if I can have one this year. I only have part time any time.. hehehe and full time online in different sites.

I think thats a really good original gift & I bet he will enjoy learning to play. I will treasure the memory of my dad on Fathers Day, just as I do every day

Oh!! so your dad is no longer around? I am too far away from my father too. I am living half way of the world. My father is in my home country but I can still send my gift though.
