What topics do you usually write about?

As a student I never liked writing. I can't seem to start a topic or construct a them that is coherent. Aside from the fact that I am poor at vocabulary, I had a hard time creating a body for a project or them writing. I was not even that confident with my grammar. Now that I am an adult, and I am now an active member of mylot, I don't have anymore inhibitions when writing. I can write any topic. I am not afraid anymore of wrong grammar. As long as I can blurt out my emotions and feelings, I write. I made writing now as an outlet.

That is good for you,Aileen.:-) Albeit, I love to write since childhood, the toll of being a mother and wife makes it impossible lately. However, I was reconnected to it when I was experiencing emotional turmoil and I felt I had no one to turn to. So I resorted to paper and pen for comfort. Then, I had it submitted to some websites earning revenues for their writers. I am doing this for a little longer than I am doing Mylot. Most of the topics are about domestic problems, love, family and health. This is my favorite among them http://authspot.com/short-stories/how-much-do-i-loved-thee/ Keep on writing, Aileen. It will give you many benefits more than you think it will. :-) Have a great day.:-)

Thanks for the inspiration. I also write as an emotional outlet. Do you earn from writing?

Yes, that's good of you. At first, I am very poor English writer and as a student I wrote hilarious sentences. My teacher used to laugh at me because my sentences didn't make sense. I just couldn't figure out how to create a sentence with the right use of English grammar. I used to translate directly from my native language and the result was often misleading meanings and out of sense. Now, I have overcome the problems of not being able to create meaningless sentences. But I am still learning and I will never stop learning to construct more beautiful and professional sentences. I think writing needs a lot of practice and years of experience. With that, we all become matured and professional in our writings.

I write about various topics that is of interest at the moment. It could be on parenting, writing, websites, reviews, movies or health issues. I recently resumed writing. There was a long hiatus and I'm back to write more articles and reviews. At myLot, I write about anything everything of interest. I never really bother about spelling or grammar, unless it hinders understanding. But generally, I'd take more time editing articles/reviews compared to myLot discussions/comments. I find writing as a great way to express my feelings and release some tension.

Hi Sydney, Like you I find writing as a great way to express my feelings and emotions and you are right to say that it somehow releases tension. As much as I love to write, I haven't posted much on my blogs thinking that it may not interest anyone else. Anyway, writing is still the best way to impart ideas here in Mylot and I love to interact with people who has the same interests as mine. Good day to you!

I see. Can you write more about cooking and share some recipes for us from you country. Simple recipes will do. Like I have beef here cut into cubes. I usually just boil it with potatoes and cabbage and some salt and black pepper corns for taste. Or just sear it then put little water, simmer until tender and put some onion cut into rings. We call it here bistek. How else do you cook beef? Any suggestions?

I enjoy writing about "travel topics". I like traveling to countries in different parts of the world. There are always so many interesting things one sees and learns when visiting foreign countries, and they inspire me to write artcles about them. They can be very informative for travelers , and all who are interested about the cultures of different countries.

When I was in school (currently on hiatus unfortunately, because I couldn't afford it!) our topics would always be assigned to us. Or we were only allowed a very small window of creativity to work through, so I never really had to worry about thinking of topics to write about. . Probably a good thing, because I tend to get writers block pretty easily. As far as MyLot goes, I usually take a notebook with me wherever I go for "inspiration". It sounds weird, but I can never think of any questions or discussions to start on the spot. lol.

I love to write. This is the only way I can express myself especially when I am down and out. I want to just jot it down in order to read it later on. I sometimes feel more safe just writing my thoughts down where nobody can get hurt and nobody can know what I think about a certain topic.

This is a very nice question you have asked. Well i use to write about what i use to dream and u know i have a personal diary where i use to share all my feelings, its not based upon any topics but usually related with my daily life and with my relations and feelings and emotions related with those relations. I was always very much creative and i always like to write and this very funny when i think about this that some of my friends used to give me their copy books to make a fair copy of class notes and still now m writing and as long as possible i will continue it.
