where is was gone?

Usually swimmers come into the news close to the Olympics. As the Olympics is still some time away, I guess we are not hearing much about Phelps. He was involved in some unsavory news some time back and hopefully would be back in London to defend the medals he had won at China. Cheers! Ram

I've seen him in a few commercials, but being as it's not an olympic year and he got caught smoking pot, 1) less news and 2) he's probably laying low

rameshchow, Well, he recently got beaten by an unknown French teenager in a French meet - Paris Open where the 14-time gold medalist won only two of his four events at the Open. His struggles in the 100 and 200 freestyles left him concerned with the state of his training two years out from his probable Olympic swan song in London. In this meet, it was revealed that the French teenager Yannick Agnel, 18, had beaten Phelps in both freestyle events, and set a French national record in winning the 200 in the process. I think Phelps really need to up his training and discipline as 25 months is awfully not a long time to prepare for the prolific games and I hope this Paris Open will be a rude awakening for him. everbody wants privary, in that he is the world famous swimmer and celebrity, so he needs privacy... recently he was badly performed....

hi rameshchow was not he wonderful in the Olympics. I just loved watching him compete. That ws so much fun. I too have not see or heard any news about him. Maybe whem its closer to Olmypic times we will hear something about him again. His mom was an interesting woman too. I remember she was actively cheering him on at all times. I will check on the net, maybe there is something of interest about Michael Phelps there.

i think after he got caught smoking bud, he lost alot of endorsments and kept on the DL for a little bit, but i heard while watching the winter olympics, he stated that it inspired him enough to train again for 2012
