Today my friend's flooded my email with bad reviews and comments, she tried to convince me how bad the movie is by pointing me to IMDB rating and stuff like that. She thinks I chose a bad Sunday movie for us and that we both will regret spending those bucks. Is she right?Have you seen it?Is it so bad?

I saw it and thought it was good. Although my huband was disapointed in it because there was no blood and gore...which is typical of a vampire movie. But none of the twilight books have been like other vampire stories where they can walk in the sun and sparkle instead of being fried. Stephanie Meyer has created a whole other outlook on vampires that make what we understand of vampires is only a myth. I think people have a hard time understanding that it is different and want to compare it to other vampire stories. I think that is why the critics are having issues. My husband keeps wanting to compare it to Underworld, but they are two different types of styles. I think the critics are thinking the same thing. I keep reminding him that the series has always first been a love story and not to expect the violence of Underworld. I think people tend to forget that. If you think about it that way, then they are really good movies. If you loved the book, then you will love the movie.

I'm tired from blood and gore. There were so many movies like that before and this is a new style, so why not accept this new Meyer style?I think I can do it.

I am also tied of blood and gore. It was nice to have a good story without all the yucky stuff.

I read that it was the best of the three. Also that the Avatar movie was terrible (Last Airbender). The kids want to see both. I think I'll send the husband to the Avatar one. :D

Hi Silver! I haven't seen it yet, so no opinion there. However, I almost NEVER pay any attention to what critics say. There have been movies that were raved about that I though were so bad (or boring) that I walked out. There have been some that were panned, which I loved to the point where I went more than once, and sometimes bought the DVD, too. Check out reviews that aren't written by critics. You'll get a better idea from them. If it was me, I'd go and make up my own mind. And then report back to us here at MyLot.

The best thing is to see it and then judge.I agree!

It's not really a case of regretting it, rather that you may be disappointed if it wasn't as good as expected. Just go see it, and then judge for yourself, everyone sees things from a different perspective. Go enjoy and experience all the hype and fun, you may end up a little disappointed if things don't go your way, but you defnitely won't regret it... :) I have to wait three weeks before I get to see it !

I personally loved it. My family loved it as well. You will not regret it unless you are not into the whole vampire thing. It wasn't like New Moon, a cliff hanger. It was awesome and very entertaining.

Yes, New Moon was a bit weaker than Twilight. The third one must be better.

actually being neutral is the good way to judge about something. so even u see there is a weakness, u can see there is a goodness too in that movie

I watched Eclipse last weekend and I don't think it is a bad film. I enjoyed it in fact, Eclipse is a lot better than New Moon, Edward's appearance improved a lot. Personally, I never listen to other people's comments because each and everyone of us has different opinion and perception about a particular movie. I don't think why people always disappointed everytime a book story transported to a motion picture, of course we cannot expect the 400-story page of a book be transmitted word-for-word in cinema with a limitation of two hours, it is very impossible, the most important thing is, the important details and the core of the story is presented well. Just go to a theater and watch Eclipse and find out for yourself the outcome of the movie. You might have a different impression about the film.

I've seen it, and I loved it. I think it was the best of the series so far. It was a phenomenally good adaptation of the book, and it surpassed my expectations. But I've liked the other two movies, and I loved the books. If your friend isn't a Twilight fan... don't drag her to it. She probably won't enjoy it. I think it's a matter of personal taste. I personally enjoy the series, but I know plenty of people who hate it. If you've liked the other movie or if you're a fan of the series, you'll probably like Eclipse. If not, then you won't. Simple as that.

I'm not a hater, nor a complete fan, but I want to believe that you're right.I think I'll like it my way.

I think even a lot of non-fans could enjoy the third film. It just depends on what your view of Twilight is. If you like Twilight, you'll probably love the movie. If you're only so-so about Twilight then you might only be so-so about the movies or you might not like them at all. If you hate Twilight then you're going to find something wrong with it no matter how much Summit Entertainment tries. If you're still not sure, then go ahead and see another movie. You can always watch Eclipse later at the second run theater or rent it for less money.

If you are into the series, you will probably like it. People are just very divided on the whole Twilight series. In reality, it is just a romantic melodrama much like Titanic in many ways. Its fans and hater both take it it a little too seriously.
