Hello Lotters and pet lovers I was told to go to my eldest sibling and bring some of the those fruit salad that my mom baked, and some others. i was also told to check if they have built a wooden screen door because of the increasing mosquitos in their area which give more exposure of dengue fever. as i went there i saw a few cats who are really thin, but ponchi has cold, i think he needs more of my attention now than ever since fluids are coming out of his nose then as i went home i decided to buy some dog food for Jolen and cat food (whiskas and Princess Cat) for Ponchi. it either cost me almost two to three dollars a month to refill their food. sometimes i will just give them left overs, with soup and rice, just not to consume too much of their dried food. I lost my mood in taking cats since i have grown to love ponchi and jolen even more. Have a great day

Two to three dollars a month does not sound too bad. We have two dogs and a cat and they all go through spells of being picky on what they eat. So sometimes food of there's goes to waste because they don't eat it. We feed the dogs their wet food, they have dry food, and we give them something to eat (if not what we are eating) for supper when we eat supper. I can't tell you how much we spend a month as we don't buy the food for them that often, but I can say that I am sure it's more then $2 to $3.00 a month. Just the other day we bought some cans of food on sell for $7.00.

hello cowgirl, well, i don't usually buy a sack of pet food just only for one kilo or 1/4 of that food for the entire month because i am also saving money. i buy dried food as for canned food well i think they're too expensive for me. luckily now we have fried fished for me to feed on ponchi but he already has cat food on standby in case i have nothing else to give to him

I know wet food can be expensive, that is what we buy. We don't buy any that's on the higher shelves, those are the ones that are the more expensive. Though we do by Fancy feast I think? I am not sure to be honest. We fourth the can for the kitty, so a can lasts four days or four nights as we feed her something different in the morning and at night.

i have a specialty dog food for my shih tzu and it cost me almost 500 php a week which is $10 more or less. there food is more expensive than what i take for a week and for a lot of people. but i find that dogs diet is much more sensitive than us so ill take that price for necessary care.

Hello pakoo, Oh, my that's a lot already. i only buy only dried foods and only one or half the kilo with only one moth. besides i also feed them with some human food which can save me money from buying more dried food. they have to be balanced can't depend on kind of food

Hi Knight I have been away for awhile but it feels good to back on here. I have a Yorkie now and of course he doesn't eat that much but I do spend more than that for his food. I can buy him a bag of dog food for about 4 dollars and then I buy him can food on a weekly deal for about 4 dollars as well. I think maybe he might be just a little spoiled...

I will have to say that his bag of food does last him awhile. Probably longer than a month. The can food I buy are those real small cans. He gets half of can a day. Yeah he is spoiled for sure..lol..

$3 a month for dog and cat food is not bad at all. I wish could only spend that much for my furry friends. I spend an average of $55.07 a month just for dog foods, not counting the vitamins I have to buy for them. I have 2 mal-shih and1 Jack Russel Terrier mix. But the cost is due to the fact that I feed them premium dog food that costs so much as pet shops in my area sells the dog food on per kilo even if you buy 1 sack.

that's nice, but it's still big for me. probably you guys are buying sacks, i only bought a kilo or half or one fourth of it. i guess you can make it up with the salary you're getting. am sure if i ever had a job, i would buy sacks of it as well.

We spend about $5 each week for our labradour just for tin foods and we buy treats as well. $2-3 doesn't sound so bad:)

First your sick cat, Ponchi, needs to see a vet because he needs an antibiotic. Dry cat food/dog food is very good for the cat/dog I do want to say that dog food should never be given to a cat and reverse, never give a dog cat food, i know they will eat it but it is not healthy for them. The dry food is very good for your pets nad healthier then canned food. The dry food cleans their teeth as they eat it. Canned food does not. I have been buying a new cat food (dry) from Purina and it has additional vitamins and minerals in. The bag cost me $9 and is about 8 pounds I think. I also buy an 18 pound bag for $11 that I feed the out door cats. My inside cats get the new Purina.

Hey, I'm sure you can afford it. Besides, cat food does wonders for cats and they don't eat human food once they get used to cat food. Well, my cats anyway. So when a neighbor comes over and tries to blame my cat for food that was stolen, I would tell them no because my cats don't eat human food anymore.

Hello anne, that's because of mylot earnings. well, they have to get used also to human food because i couldn't just feed them with dried food alone or they will get used to it. i remember my brother make sure not feeding their dog with dog food all the time because they might get used to it. and now she can't eat dog food no more. but i want my pet to eat it balance.

It costs us about $22 a month to feed our two dogs (a lab and a chow mix) and all they eat is dry dog food.
