You will always find what you are looking for....

Hi members, This is a simple concept. If you are looking for dark sides, you will find it almost every shadows. If you are looking for light, there is light everywhere. If you are looking for sorrow, it is the sorrow that you will find. If you are looking at how poor you are, you will remain poor all along. People get things that they search for. We, due to our inherent tendencies, always look for certain things and overlook everything else. A positive man will always look for good side of everything, and good things always happen to him. A negative man finds it extremely difficult that anything positive can ever happen in life. An unjust person always believes that life is unjust and cruel. Do you believe in this theory? What do you look for? Do you think that you get what you look for? Thanks in advance for your response. God bless you

Sweetie, life in all is a simple concept. We just like to be different and make things harder on ourselves. We always get what we want or look for, whether good or bad. I have found what i have been looking for, but it seems more trouble than when i started. See, a simple concept. TATA.

Does that mean that the god who gives you what you want is perverted? :)

hey i totaally believe in that theory! i read a few books about it too. though i must admit that it is sometimes hard to "obey" it, if you want only good thing happen to you. there are times when i am down (like now) so they say that you are attract not the good things. but it is hard to make myself happy, truely happy, so the good things will come along do you have any advice for me? have a great day!!

Hi, advice 1: Be my friend. advice 2: Let me know when you are having bad time and I will be right beside you. advice 3: CHOOSE to be happy. If it seems difficult at this point, then just detach yourself from whatever is troubling you. advice 4: Never ask advice from a friend. You deserve the best and you will always get the very best of a friend. Just share your feelings and the friend will make it go away, like a magic. Thanks. God bless you

Tell me how you are feeling. Humiliated? Hurt? Sad? Shocked? Tell me all about it and I will tell you how to let it go. Right now, I know exactly what you need. Come here

I do tend to believe that we are able to find whatever it is that we are looking for. In my life, I am looking for happiness and fun and for the most part I would say that is the way that my life is. However, even when there are certain things that we are looking for, there are going to be times that we find things that aren't within the confines of those things that we want to have in our lives. For example, I don't look for sorrow, but sometimes it does find it's way to me.

Hi, Even in those cases you can find happiness. With the firm belief that everything happens for a reason, and possibly for a good reason, enables you to look always at the brighter side. Incidents are fairly indifferent. Time is always just. With our interpretation we make it appear to us as good or bad. With wisdom you get a great ability to detach yourself at your will. This is an art, indeed. Thanks so much for your response. God bless you

This is a thought provoking discussion, and I am not sure I am as deep a person as you are kiddo. :) But let me view it from my perspective. :) I am looking for a solution - so I guess I will find a solution as per what you say (ask and though shall receive). I am looking for a solution to my problems that will have no loopholes. I could sit and cry and think there is no way out of my problems just because I have not found it as yet. But that is not what I am doing. I am considering and seeking various ways out of my problems. So I guess I believe and hope there is a way out, and may be I have not found it yet, but I think eventually I will. I have not resigned to my fate otherwise I wouldnt be looking for that solution. Even at worst, I will give it a great fight verbal, physical, whatever. I am prepared for that. That means I am a positive person - yeah!

Hi, Yes you are a positive person. But its not because you can give a great fight verbal, physical etc. as you said. Its because you just refuse to retreat. You also believe that there got to be a way out of everything. This again, motivates you in holding on. The problems can't be solved being at the same level where they were created. So the very first step that changes you from a problem creator to a problem solver is your detachment. Yes, before even doing the troubleshooting, you first detach yourself from the situation, mentally. You make yourself believe that whatever is happening is non of your business. This is an effective way of detaching yourself. When you are detached, you stand yourself in an indifferent platform. Look at your problem now, and quite surprisingly, this time you will be able to find more than one solutions for it. Thanks. God bless you

Kiddo - you write such wise words! I feel so proud of you!

Ma, these are no wise words. This is what I've learned from life. This is reality. Everything is actually a mind game. Once you are in it, you have to learn and master the rules. You are on your own. Its your battle and nobody is going to fight it for you. So you have to gather all the tools necessary for the job.

I was someone who always think positive and always be sure of the success of my work. I always get rid of feelings of sadness and are always trying to find something that makes my heart happy and excited. I do not want to live in a world that once was filled with sadness. Alhamdulillah with the way I always managed to reach my ideals.

Hi, Happiness can be a good measure for your level of honestly. When you go according to your conscience you are always happy. Even when someone accidentally does unacceptable things, he can regain his happiness by sincere repentance and asking God for forgiveness. Repentance cleanses our soul. But we should procrastinate the process. Laying unnecessary emphasis on your own dark sides throws you into further darkness. An optimistic approach is to clearly identify what you want to be instead of identifying what you don't want to be. Once this purpose is well established you can pursue it without further dilemma. Thanks for your participation. God bless you

I believe hundred percent in this theory biswa. THat is why our elders also advised us to always think of good things, say good words and believe that whatever is good will happen. We also know the story of Dharmaputra and Duryodhana going out to the world and coming in with their verdict of the world being full of good and bad people respectively. As for good things happening to positve people it is also their way of acceptance.FOR example I have seen very poor people being content and not complaining even when confronted by adversity. Recently our 32 year old niece passed away after a long struggle with neurofibroma.SHe has had more than 5 brain surgeries and a myriad number of stays in hospital. That child had such a positive attitude to life that she once remarked when she had to go into hospital for radiaton "Thank god ! it won't be the stupid ICU this time". She had undergone a lot of pain but she never used to complain. My father was another such man.I just marvel at their mindset and strength of character. People have a positve attiude and see good in everything and are hopeful. On the other hand a negative person has the negative attitude that does not appreciate even good things. It is not necessary that only bad things should happen to them or vice versa. As for what I would look for I am thankful for the countless belssings GOd has given me and I seek His grace till the end of my life.

ya i do believe in this theory its better if one has a good positive attitude and he/she goes that way it would help them excel in life too if you could be positive then your positive attitude could make others think positive and make the lives good and peaceful

Hi, It takes time to build a positive attitude, but once you have it, the whole world is yours. There is infinite resource of happiness, a spring of satisfaction right inside you, flowing forever. Before even exploring coal mines we need to explore ourselves. This alone can bring long term happiness and peace of mind. Optimism is the ability to find good things even when you are absolutely jeopardized. Thanks. God bless you

Yes, every person has it's own mindset and if that person only believes what he thinks and not open his mind to other suggestions then he will surely lose some friends and even opportunities for change in his life. Everyone should have its own mindset but keep his mind open because there are other possibilities in the world.

Hi, Like you said everyone is free to have his or her own mindset, but we have to keep our mind open so that even the most extreme ideas keep flowing into it. This way we can keep our options open. An integrated mind is one where two or more opposing ideas can coexist. Thanks so much for your contribution. God bless you

You remind me of a saying I came across. I can't remember the words exactly but it meant "You are Right by saying Yes and you are not wrong either by saying No!". I personally feel that we are right to embrace whatever attitude we would like to for the moment because we eventually make it out to be. And that is applicable to life itself!

Hi, Yes, and I call it consciously choosing from among the options. You can always choose to be good and honest. You can always choose to be optimistic. But to gain this mental framework one needs constant practice and a high degree of patience. Thanks so much for your participation. God bless you

If your theory is right, life is an easy game to play ,but life isn't a easy busness to deal with,so many people who lived in dark world hardly find light, they are poor and unhappy.not every problem has an answer, there isn't unjust people in the world,it is only life is unjust and cruel. life is life and believing is believing.

This is the best post i have ever read on Mylot. Yes man is what he thinks. We always find what we are looking for, what we think of. If we think good we will get good, if we think bad then we will get bad.

Exactly. I think we spend too much time in thinking about the negative sides of others. Whereas we should be thinking of the positive sides of ours instead. Nothing can go wrong if you absolutely believe that everything is going right. This unconditional, doubtless state of mind is quite difficult to achieve. It needs practice, lots and lots of practice. But once achieved, it can never be lost. Thanks for your participation. God bless you
