Do you know everyone on your friends list on your social networking sites

I have around 130 people added as friends on my Facebook account. But these 130 people are either relatives or colleagues from work or old school friends that I really know. It makes me wonder for those who have over 500 friends on their list, do they really know the people added on their friends list? I can say that I know these 130 people and I have met them face to face, some I have grown up with. What about you? Do you really know the people you have added on your social networking sites?

Facebook is a place where whenever I on it and people put a friend request in, I have to know them in real life for them to be accepted. Granted, I don't to know them all that way. It could have been just a passing conversation or two but if I remember them, then I'll add them. Of course, remembering them might not be such a good thing all things considered, but there you go. Still on Facebook, its used for people that I know from school. Therefore, I only add them as friends if I know them. There are times where I get a few weird friend requests, where I have never known this person in my life. However, I don't normally accept those friend requests. I think that everyone on Facebook I have known in real life through various means. Of course, I don't use Facebook all that often but such is life.

Hi anne25penn, I don't have long list of friends on fb site. I have about forty or so friends and majority of them are persons I know very well in real life. Only a few of them are online friends. I could say I never request people in visual would as friends. Moreover I visit the said site once in a while only. Since I'm not frequent visitor of fb site therefore I don't have much interest to add friends. I couldn't understand what's the purpose for people like me who doesn't have much interest in the activities available there to have more friends. Some of my colleagues as well as relatives are really huge fans of certain games there They would feel uneasy if they don't log in the site for a single day Happy posting

My FB list is still small, but even at this stage, though I know or have at least met the Majority of them personally through family, friends,or work connections, there are contacts of these that have made friend requests to Me that I have yet to meet face to face..It depends on where You live,too..it doesn't take long for your list to go intercontinental (with a lesser chance of meeting someone)once you expand beyond your immediate family..and 2 of my siblings are in other countries!

I know 90% of my friends in facebook. I don't usually add friends in any social networking site they add me instead. In here I approve all friend request I receive but in facebook I check first whether or not we really know each other by our mutual friends and or by his/ her photo. I got over 300 friends in facebook

I have about 90 facebook friends and they are all family and people that I know and interact with. Since I post pictures and info about myself, I prefer to have just people that I know. I never accept people who add me because they've seen me in highschool, or with friends, etc, if they haven't spoken to me. I know they add me just to get their friend numbers up, and I don't feel the need to be added to their list like a trophy!

I have about 400 friends on Facebook, and I know, or at least have met them all. Obviously some of them are closer friends than others, and some are basically acquaintances. Alot of people that I went to high school with, we had a huge graduating class. I also have a big family and so does my husband, and then of course my friends that I hang out with now.
