I think I'm going down with a cough, so after dinner I took vit. c to stop my cough from continuing. It always works for me. Anyway, I just drink my vit. c whenever I feel I'm getting sick. I don't drink vitamins everyday. According to some studies. As long as your eating the right diet, you don't need to take vitamins everyday since vitamins are just supplements your body needs. But, if your diet is poor, it's better to drink vitamins to ensure that your getting enough nutrients. I remember this one kind of vitamins I used to take before, it made me hungry all the time and the other one made me sleepy. So, now I just make sure I have a proper diet and drink vitamins if needed. How about you?

I take multivitamins every day, one pill after lunch regularly. That is keeping me moving, preventing from getting easily tired too. Vitamin C when I catch cold, and when I travel to very cold regions. I do ofcourse drink orange juice every morning too, a source of Vitamin C.

I don´t take vitamin supplements anymore since I found out that they served no purpose. The only way our body can get it´s vitamins is by eating the right food. I´m tryong to do that now. When we need a vitamin suokement, we must let out dovtor tell us what to do. So, for me. it is a proper diet.

I take vitamin C, vitamin B12 and a multiple formula every day. I had found that it is no good taking vitamin C once you have a cold, but it's best used every day, too keep the body's supply topped up and that way, there's a better chance that you will avoid a cold. _Derek

I used to worry about not having about vitamins in my diet as I was not eating very well, so i went to the chemist to get some vitamins. I asked the Pharmacist to recommend some vitamins, and all he said was that if you ate a balanced diet, you won't need them, again when i went to another chemist, he said the same thing, and added that the amounts in the tablets are so little, it doesn't really do much. I still bought some anyway, as I was naturally deficient, and for a whole month I could really feel the difference, I felt more alert, more focused. However, there had also been bad news about vitamins in the press, that you shouldn't take them long term as they give you side effects. So I concentrated more on getting my foods right. Logically, get vitamins naturally from your food is actually much healthier and more natural for your system, and after all vitamins are artificially manufactured, just like synthetic medicines, so unless you're really deficient and need to restore them immediately, it's best to concentrate on you food rather then take supplments. :)

I just eat lots of fruits and vegetables instead of taking vitamin supplements on a regular basis. I learned somewhere some of these vitamin supplements exceed recommended daily dosages. Such excesses could potentially lead to more serious health problems in the long-term. As such, I try to minimize the intake of these supplements.

I know I dont' eat right and neither does my son, so we take vitamins daily. I am a cancer survivor so I make sure I have the calcium, D, omega, and c vitamin supplements in addition to what I get in the regular vitamin daily. Just makes sense to me, and better safe than sorry. I have never had a vitamin make me tired or hungry. Hmmm. Wonder what you were taking? That just doesn't sound right.

I take supplements which I feel I need like Vitamin C if I've got a cold coming on. I take magnesium to help reduce migraines, a ginger supplement to help with muscle pain, evening primrose oil for skin and Chromium because it helps level out my blood sugars.

I agree with the studies that it is much better to get your vitamins from a healthy diet but really alot of people dont take the time to eat a well balanced diet and need alittle extra vitamins. I have been thinking about taking vitamins but find it hard to figure out what is the right dosage for me. I know it can be harmful if taking to much of a certain vitamin. Thats my problem is i dont want to take to much of a good thing and have it hurt me.

I eat a lot of healthy foods, and I prefer to get the proper nutrition by eating the good stuff. I still supplement my diet with a daily vitamin. It is almost impossible to get everything your body needs on a daily basis. I also take an anti oxidant.for cell maintenance. I feel good.

I couldn't take Vitamin C because it triggers my migraine, but if I could, it's the only vitamins that I will drink everyday. It's very important that you maintain a strong immune system and a daily dose of Vitamin C strengthens it.

I do not have a balance diet that's why I take vitamins and food supplements, lots of it. Who among you here can proudly and honestly say you have a balance diet? I bet none, none of us here has a balance diet. Can you eat truckloads of vegetables and fruits just to meet the essential nutrients your body needs? With our modern living, nobody has a balance diet. That's why we need to take vitamins and food supplements, regularly but not in excess. Trust me, I am a pharmacist. I have studied both modern pharmaceuticals as well as natural holistic health.

I do not take any vitamins at all as I think that my diet is well balanced and that I get all the minerals and vitamins that my body needs through what I eat. I don't eat processed foods, I make all my own foods and eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.
