Are we members of mylot are really friends?

We add a friend very frequently on our mylot site. Do we really become friends? Even acquaintances? No. I don't thin so. We basically add friend's name in our list with two reasons: 1. When we start discussion, an intimation is sent by mylot.com to all such added friends on their e-mail address, 2. We add friends so that in time of need, we would get support from such friends.
My blogs were published and I sent link to all my friends with request to click 'I like it' button which would have encouraged me immensely. I sent such personal mails to about 65 of my friends. Do you know how many only viewed from mylot-only 9 and 6 of them liked the blogs. I felt very discouraged. Particularly because I had not requested them to become my referrers or become members of some PTC sites. I had only requested to read my blogs and clicked the button. which would have hardly taken 2 minutes of their time.
This is really called life. I feel utterly disappointed.

hi udaymohan I do not know about others of your friends but right
now my private life is sort of having problems ,my roommate has began
losing her memory which means I get to be her built in care taker.
escorting her to meals and back, and anywhere else she does not
remember how to get to, so if I have overlooked some of my online
friends please forgive me as becoming an unpaid caretaker is all really
new to me. I promise sometime today I will look at your blog really

I did not add friends here because of those two reasons you mentioned. I added friends because I like most of their posted discussions. I want to know as soon as possible if they have any new posted discussions so that I can response right away.
But then I did not send friend request a lot in here. They mostly added me. And I just accepted them. Maybe I have those two reasons you mentioned in the back of my mind by just accepting them without any checking - but I have never expected much from them, so I never feel disappointed.
Don't expect too much, they have their own agenda here and anywhere else. Just do the best you can - even if there are only 3 people responding. Who knows these 3 peoples refer your blog to their friends.
Cheers.... don't pollute your heart by disappointments.

Of course mylot members are really friends. Why else would we be here? We can make many last friendships here. It is what makes mylot worthwhile.

hi udaymohan,regarding real friend,but i am frank in this ,since 40 years i am having friends,still they are with me and we are meeting regularly,but i do not know about mylot friends,i will contact if possible if any mylot friend contact me either personally or in person,so here in mylot i donot wish to add any friends,if any mylot friend asked for friendship,i will accept his or her friendship,happy mylotting

I add friends here because I find that something in their responses appeals to me; I can identify with some views and so I feel comfortable sharing ideas and thoughts with them.Even here they do not respond to all my discussions all the time.
People would have a thousand commitments and they must have the mood and inclination to do things .
So, to your disppointment I still feel that friendship has to evolve and it would take time.Even with close friends we cannot expect anything.If they have the time and inclination they would do this; otherwise I think you should not get disappointed.

It happens everytime for everybody...
First of all the gender is considered, if it's a girl who has written the blog and published , most of the guys would read it and they would post i like it, even if they don't like..This is the true case in the current scenario..If the blog is by a boy nobody responds...
Eventually most of my friends post a blog and they send me request to read it, i never disappoint them, i read them..But i can't do this all time..
I have more friends via virtual world..

well i have found one friend before i left mylot before. But his not online anymore. i think adding someone as a friend isnt necessarily that but a step toward it.

When you send those kind of things randomly some people might think that you're message is just spam. The best approach you should do is approach us personally and not give us messages and tell us to look at your blog. Know us know what we want and maybe that would be an advantage on your part the more people will want to watch or view your blog

Had a look at your site, the $7 one. How is it going for you. Have you had any earnings from it yet. Sounds like a good concept.
