What is the first thing you looked at in a guy/ girl?

The first thing I looked at in a guy is his watch. From there I can gauge what kind of personality he has. If he has a high tech watch then, he must be a techy guy. If he has an old gold watch, then he must be conservative. If his watch didn't coordinate with his clothes like if his wearing rubber watch w/ leather shoes then his fashion is so out. If his watch is simple, he must be simple guy. If it's expensive then he must be rich. My cousin on the other hand looked at guys shoes. If it's clean then he must be a clean person and if it's dirty, well you know what I mean, haha... How about you?

Hi dear, What you said is some what ok, it will give you an overall idea about a person. But many things will contribute to a exactly what he/she is. I have about 12 watches all I got purchased. I used to wear all of them at different moods. So, it depends on my day starts. Also, in case of foot wear, the matter is same thing. In general, looking at the appearance and the way of styles will help get some clue about a person. It is true. But if we want to get a better undersanding, few more things are to be considered. Regards, Thank-s

WOW,you can wear a different watch once every month.Yeah,I agree with your opinion. If we want to understand a person well and totally, the only method is to deal with him/her for a long period of time, not simply form his/her appearance or the way of styles.

Hi dear, Yes, it is true. I got such a character. Especially, watches, mobiles, cameras, umbrellas, etc. The things which are more cute and lovely things I will purchase. I will keep it as an all time memory things. My first watch was gifted my father and still it looks as a new thing given around 25 years back. So the things surrounded with me are like this. My family also used to tell me that because of my nature, I have spent a lot of money unnecessarily. (But, I wont't waste money for other things). However, you responded. That itslef is good enough. Happy day ahead. Regards, Thank-s

You have 12 watches... Mmm, for me that means you are a diverse person and that you get bored easily. Am I right? Lol... Haha... My discussion should have been about watches.

i would look for the teeth. if he doesn't take good care of his teeth then most likely this guy is not that neat and clean. it is nice to see a guy with a great smile!

You don't need to have a great smile if your personality is warm already. it will really show up on how your carry yourself and how you deal with people. I am sure you are this person i am pertaining to. These are the factors that will make you likeable to others and not these things they first look at you.

I used to wear wristwatches.. Well i think the first thing that catches my attention in a girl is her dressing, it does tell a bit about their personality. But you know looks are deceptive, and especially applies to girls.

Hi santosmarichris! I must commend how interesting, how hilarious, how amusing and so much fun your cousin and you must have derived from your rounds. Heehee... Well, I can't deny these are some things we meet in a person the first time especially. There are many to go unnoticed for me too. But I tend to be attracted to a girl's eyes first. I think there is so much to tell from there. Honestly I share your cousin's view about a guy's shoes, not at the end but rather when he starts his day.

how about guys who don't wear watches? my friend says look at their nails. clean nails, dirty nails, well-manicured nails (yes, some guys do that. too finicky for me.)

Maybe that means this guy don't lay emphasis on time to some extent. It is just my guess.

I never wear a watch, I was gonna ask the same question here. There is no need to wear a watch, the time is always now, and you probably should have been there already.

The first thing I notice about a woman is usually her eyes, however, I usually take notice of her boobs as well...typical guy behavior I guess...LOL

Maybe the guy's watch is just a precious and significant memento for him,it does't depend on his personality or taste.Well,I am just kidding here. I think the first thing I look at in a guy/girl is his/her costume style. If his costume is casual, that means maybe he is not quite a wary guy in my opinion. If his/her costume is colourful, that shows he/she is an energetic person probably. If a girl in front of my sight wear costume that is not exposed, maybe she is telling me she is a conservative person. Whatever, details can tell us a lot of information about a guy/girl,not only from how his/her costume or watch look, almost everything from his/her top to toe.

Hi! Yup, that could be true. I think what one wears also tells something about herself/ himself. So we better dress nicely, lol. Thanks for your comment!

Hi, As a girl, the first thing I look at the guy is the way he dress up. Some guy might dress up on in a tidy way...the shirt might not be ironed and the pant might got hole somewhere. I hate those guy with that kind of appearance. Totally I will drop off the point for that kind of guy. I love to see guy which dressed up smartly or casually,at least his hair is comb tidyly. If the appearance is OUT, I guess that guy might not be able to handle problem, since taking care of himself also have a problem. I am a person who like to keep things tidy and clean. So guy with bad smell and dirty looks is out of my way.

You said it my friend. I also don't like guys who wear clothes with holes in them. Even if it's only house clothes. It's really untidy to see.

The first thing I see in a guy is his personality ,his quality. How much he talks, because I don't like that much of talkative guy.He should not interfere to any one.He should lead his own way.His attitude be in such a way that every one talks good about him.

The first thing I looked at in a guy is how he dressed, because I like guys who dress up nice and neatly; and also his eyes and body built.

I look at one's feet to see what they are wearing, if they are wearing torn footwear, it shows them in poor light. If their shoes/sandals are polished it shows that they love to look good.

That it as very unique way of looking at a potential partner. I think when I was younger you may have became very confused with me.. I was fascinated with watches and had many disfferent sorts. Some were old-fashioned gold ones that my Dad gave me. I had a big rubber divers watch and a different assortments of other types.. Oh yes, once I even had a pocket watch! I think I confuse people even more now though as I rarely wear one! I just take out my cellphone and check the time! _Derek

Cool! I just realize that I can check one's personality through his watch.. I agree with your cousin, shoes can be a good basis. But I usually look first on a guy's finger. Not to check his personality but because I don't like my fingers.. hehehe. Mine are big, so I am attracted to guys with slim fingers. :)

His hands. My dad had the most wonderful, artistic hands. Not long, slender and beautiful, but thick fingers (not fat), graceful movements and he could build anything out of nothing. He eventually built, rebuilt, or improved every machine in the box and glass plants where he worked. In addition, he built a home for Mom, all the furniture in it and each piece was something we kids wanted. Sadly, mother nature had other ideas and most pieces were lost from tornadoes. My husband has short, stubby hands. He also had the most fabulous brain. He soaked information up like a sponge and was quite at ease talking with a ditch digger, a surgeon, or a computer genius. I often sat listening to the discourses and watched as person after person told others how stunned they were that he could keep up with the conversations on any level. We had some rousing debates which I miss since his stroke. Without him abel to speak, caring forhim 24/7, and living in a new place, there is no one with which to converse except here on the computer. How I miss his beautiful voice.

If you mean how he looks, the first thing I look in a guy is clothes in general. It is obvious that something expensive will come out at once, such as a watch or a gold necklace, and it's a sign of richness and this proves he's a working man (although not always!). Untidiness in a guy will be a negative point for him. But if you mean how he behaves, the thing I look first in a guy is how he talks and how polite and careful he is with me and with people in general. I don't like rude guys.

I liked the way you looked in a guy, it's my first time to know that there are really girls that are so observant like you. Well in my case I'm not really particular with what he wears, what gadget he has or anything that he carries with him. I first looked on his face, if he is smiling then that's good because for me he is a happy person but if he is frowning then he is a grumpy person. I think it's only an initial way to know people, the only thing that matters is the real personality of the person once you know them personally.
