mylot chat feature

I would like it but I dont think we could be able to paid for it. If we were paid for by mylot to chat it would bring a lot of spammers and it would also undermine the site. I mean the main point is to have a discussion throught the forum part of the site. This is easier for them to link other people to.

Hi jersey86! This topic of discussion comes up at least once a week and I'm always intrigued by the split decisions. We've gone back and forth on the topic too. The last time it was discussed we decided that it wasn't in our best interest to add a chat feature. I've seen a few profiles that have chat boxes on them. Have you seen any yet? Would something like that interest you?

Sorry, really cant see how having a live chat feature here in myLot would benefit the site at all. What would be the point in posting and responding discussion topics if we could just chat amongst ourselves. myLot itself is as close as you will get to a chat feature as anything you type is posted instantly for all to see. If you want to have a private 1 to 1 chat with a friend then use the message service which is almost instant also. Just my own opinion, I am sure others may agree or diagree, but thats the whole point to mylot. Happy posting...

hi no no no it would totally ruin mylot as most people are lazy and would rather jabber than write interesting discussions. there are already too many chat rooms so let leave mylot alone as it is totally unique now and does not need to be another facebook or twitter or whatever the heck that is called. do not change mylot at all.leave it alone please.

I think that will be a great feature if we earn in the process. It should not be like the fun stuff. Even if mylot pay for the chat feature then I think the creativity of mylotting will decrease as many would prefer to chat. I think it will ultimately harm the site as a whole.
