Mylot is keeping me awake...help!

Has anyone else been late going to bed so they can be on Mylot? I should be asleep because I have to be up earlier than normal but I keep having "one last look" on here before I switch my computer off. It's becoming an addiction, I keep having to pop back on here and see what's going on :)

Sadly my hubby is working a night shift this week so I'm all alone with only the internet for company. Next week I'll be spending evenings with him as he's working a day shift so we'll get to spend time together :)

It sounds like you have a lot of time apart. I hate it when my hubby works nights but it's only every third week and like you say we have our internet for company. It's a good job because the TV has been a waste of time lately.

Hello Gaboni. I sometimes do that, I get up when I can't sleep and make the mistake of sitting at the computer, time just flies. I hate sleeping late on my days off, I just feel tired all day and can't motivate myself at all.

I know what you mean, like you can't be bothered and you're not interested in anything. I find the best thing to do when we sleep late is have a nice walk in the fresh air. It usually clears my head and I feel great :)

Mylot is highly addictive. It's hard to leave for the diehard mylot fans. I have mylot opened all day and bounce on here off and on all day long and half the night too, lol. I tell myself just one more discussion, then I'll go and next thing I know another hour has gone by. Try to get some sleep, the lot will still be here tomorrow.

Hello Beanie but not the hats haha. I suppose It's a novelty for now, it will probably wear off and I'll slow down but I can't pull myself away tonight. I usually have Mylot open on a tab at work too and if I get a spare few minutes I come on here. I'll get some sleep now and come back tomorrow :)

LOL, I'm sure that as the days go by you will find a balance. When I first joined this site I was ridiculous. I got my star in 2 days had reched my first payout in less than 10 days. Was aquiring friends at a rapid pace. It was awesome. Now I still spend a lot of time here but a lot more time is just spent reading and I still love it.

It took me about four days to get my star. I've been reading more on here the last couple of days because I've find it harder to respond to discussions and there are some good ones on here to read through. Time flies on here, I'm just grabbing a few minutes while I can :)

hi autumn its really so addictive and I have been here for three
years and still find it hard to shut my computer off. one thing I am now with a roomie so I have to quit at least by ten thirty also we have to get up at the ungodly hour of 6 am so we ca n go down at 7 am to be fed no early than 7:45 grrrrr. before I came here I would stay up til one am then get up at 8am to be at work by almost 9 am. that included the bus trip down the street too. I ate quickly.I am retired now however. but miss not being able to stay up late and g et up later.

Hello Hatley. I never expected to be like this on here. When I was doing a lot of surveys I couldn't wait to finish them because they're so boring, I still do some but since I've been on here I've been neglecting them a bit which is bad really. I have to be up at 7am so that's not too bad but I don't feel tired and don't have hubby here, he's at work. Well I suppose I'll have to just be a good girl and switch this thing off til tomorrow :)

Wow, you are really in to it huh? Before I'm kinda like you but now, I just come and visit here once in a while. I like mylot because of the different discussions and different perspective of other people. Maybe you should limit yourself? it's ok when it does not become a problem with your other activities.

Hello Vycess. Yes I'm really into it, so much that I was going to bed at 9:30 and now its ten past eleven lol. I need to just turn my computer off at a certain time I suppose then it will be less tempting to come on again because this thing takes forever to start up :)

Good thing I'm not that addicted yet. I was up a little late last night to be on Mylot and try to earn as much as I can before the next day. I think that's what creates the addiction. I'm planning on recording how many pasts I do each day and see how much I earn and how long it takes me to get to payout. Happy Mylotting! :)

Hello Suke. Yes it's mostly about earning money and I think I've worked out how much I need to do on here each day. I'll have a busy day doing other stuff tomorrow, mainly working so I keep thinking if I get more done on here tonight I won't get behind. Well at this rate I'll be gaining on here and losing sleep so I'd better go to bed :)

I don't work all that late at night as I do need my sleep, as I don't sleep all that well anyway. I really haven't been doing all that much inhere lately, as I have been doing other things as well as the other sites I am a member of. I am still active, but I just don't do as much as I did when I first came in here. I do think however, that mylot can be addictive. It can be very hard to tear yourself away, and not sure if that is good or bad either. 
I am just glad I am part of the mylot community even though I don't post as much as I have in the past. I will continue posting in here fror as long as I can. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Hello Rosekiss. I suppose we all do more on here when we first join because it's new and a bit of a novelty, I'm sure I'll be able to just limit myself and not stay on here when I'm tired, the old brain doesn't work as well when I'm tired anyway lol. Thank you and hammy Mylotting to you too :)

I think I have logged on almost everyday since I joined 2 months back. The fever is still going strong.
First, I checked eagerly on the topics I have started, then those I have responded to see whether the poster has replied back, then browsing around. I keep it on the whole day and check back once in a while.
If I go on a holiday, I'll probably have withdrawal symptoms

Hello Bluemoon. I do the same, I always check to see if anyone has left a comment then I check to see if anyone has answered mine, it's disappointing when they haven't answered but I suppose some people don't have time to. I have some surveys to do so I'll start those later but I'm sure I'll be back on here when they're done :)

Yes I am,I am new to mylot and it really help me out to finish the day without being so darn bored at home after doing my homework. Its really addicting that you can talk to anyone around the world,exchanging discussions and opinions,sharing ideas and learning some stuff like you never heard before. I really enjoy my self here on mylot.This place rocks!

I just started on mylot and don't have many friends here yet but I have been going back and forth between here and sidetick to make money. There are also a couple other money making sites I frequent and I too have found myself going to bed late so I can try and make extra money.

haha you need help! Just kidding, you have become a bit obsessive with it though so good thing you have noticed it and not in denial.
I will e the same but whether I am a member of this site or not, I will still be up late cause I have trouble sleeping anyway and have a bad sleeping pattern.
Try your hardest to calm down with this if it becomes too much to handle.

Well that is just fantastic. Good for you. I know we don't really know each other but I really mean it. It is horrible watching people having such an addicting to something and getting sick over it.

I have done that and before I know it it is 11 or 12 o'clock and I should have been in bed hours ago..But fortunately now, I still have a good 2 hours before I go to bed. But by now you may already be in bed for I see you wrote this 2 hours ago unless you are going to pull an all nighter???

Hello Carmel. Yes I went to bed at about 11:30, an hour after I first decided to go. Don't rule out an all nighter from me though, I have some days off during hubby's next night shift so I'll probably be on here very late at least :)

Well, it's not an addiction...yet. I don't think I could give up "sleep" to stay on "mylot"...I value my sleep to much! And I know the site will still be here in the morning when I wake up. Well, at least I hope it will be :)

Only this past few days since I'm trying to qualify for a payout and I'm still short a few cents. So, I need to be posting, posting, posting. And after that, post some more until I reach my objective.
By August, I'll relax and figure out how to be more efficient posting here. It's very time consuming to be scavenging for interesting discussions just to post a comment. Anyway, this last few days of the July will be some kind of research for me so I can somehow budget my time for posting here.

You are not the only one. I've already set myLot as my homepage rofl. It's addictive because it's fun to read through people's discussions and if I have something to say I'll try to say it in detail. I slept at 4am last night because I was on myLot and a few other things. I am really starting to enjoy and get to know this site. Now I know that if I ever need help wih something I can just ask it in a discussion and I know the people that can answer it will answer it with quality answers. There was another forum I was using and ever since finding this site (only recently) I have forgotten about it.
From now this is the site I will be using daily, although it's an addiction I can stop if I have work to do and if I'm confused with something I know where to go :D This place is great for asking for advice because you can feel confident you won't get 2 word sentences.

Hello Parrot. I haven't set Mylot as my homepage yet lol. I used to go on Yahoo Answers to pass the time but this is much better because we can actually have conversations and get paid, I haven't been back to YA since I found this. I've set myself a target for each day and I intend to stick to it so I'll be on and off most days and on every evening :)
