No doubt many have their jobs as well as money in the worst recession that has ever been witnessed. If you were one of the small amount of people who already was financially well off then prices couldn't be any lower in costs due to this recession. Are you one of those people who got great deals on just about everything that can be bought during the recession.

Well, I haven't benefited, but I have not been hit very hard by it either, which I think is great as well. I feel very lucky!

yeah i feel thankful as well that it hasn't affected me. i didn't go out and blow my money on mortgages that were too risky to sign up for.

I just read an article in today's paper about how low interest rates are, but that many people couldn't benefit from them because they didn't have jobs, had bad credit, etc. Sad... I was able to refinance my house at a very low rate last year, and could probably go even a percent lower this year if I wanted to.

hi elmiko no no I am not, I am one of its many victims. why do you think I landed in this godawful retirement center? mY son lost his job we got behind on our rent on the apr, and were evicted, and made homeless.' this recession has and is hurting a lot of middle clarr Americans. My som is still in the same gov. sponsored apt so they can hunt for work, but a long long last he has a job. maybe in time we can once more get our stuff ou t of storage and move into an apartment and I will leave this crummy place.

Well our fixed income has remained the same, but our investments have been cut in half. But our family has always been able to find employment, mainly because they are willing to do what ever needs to be done to earn a wage. All three of the girls are college educated but they clerk in stores, hold down two jobs and always seem to be able to make a success of what they do. Two have ended up managers and one has started as a law clerk, working toward another degree in the law. It wasn't what they had planned but few people's lives turn out as planned.

No I am not one of those lucky persons but I know some companies who are making excuses on behalf of this so called recession.I went to a company for a job. They were not want me then they made this excuse that they can't recruit me because of recession and told me to came later when recession will be over.So theses corporate companies make profit even from this recession.

A pessimist find disaster in all opportunities while an optimist always finds opportunities in every disaster. In the business world, recession is just one of the movers of economy a formidable force that affects almost everything, but if you know the forces that is involved and the Keynesian Framework of Economy, you can surely ride the tide and bring all opportunities to your doorstep.
