this is just a question that popped up on my head when i heard fire sirens wailing in the neighborhood just now..so if your house is caught on fire...and you're given the chance to grab a few things that you can carry...what are these things that are so important that you would probably regret not saving from fire aside from your own life of course...=)

It's a complex question, and it's hard to reply this problem.Under that urgent crisis, it doesn't allow you to consider much, if I saw the big fire burn from my house, the first step I will look for my child and my famliers and keep them safe under that crisis. Because it is impossible to save much things, the most important thing to ensure our familiers life are safe. That is my opinion.

i pretty much agree with you there...of course life is more important than any material things... You cannot buy and replace life with another life..that wouldn't be the same person... But no matter how expensive the thing you might have lost.., You can always find ways to save up and afford it again..=)

My kids first, then the animals...and if possible I would grab my tub of photos and photo disks and albums..I have them all in one plastic tub, right where they are easy to grab. I would like to one day get a fire proof safe for these and important documents. I guess I should put those in there too for now. I am gonna go do that right now..just in case of fire lol.

that would be a great idea... placing important documents in a fire proof safe...thanks for the idea... i'm gonna do that too... there's no harm in doing it as early as now... we can never tell when an emergency would strike...=) have a great day!!!

I'll make sure I have my wallet first cause there are so many important things in there. I am also going to grab my gas range cause cooking is my passion and if I dont have it then I wont be able to cook. I think I am also going to ask my husband to make sure that he grabs the refrigerator. lol

haha... the gas range is way to heavy i think but with the adrenaline rush pumping on your system in response to emergency.., you might be able to do something unimaginable... who knows you can carry both the gas range and refrigerator on each arm..kidding..!

I would grab my purse, as it is on my bedroom doornob, and as I am passing threw the livingroom grab my laptop. I doubt I would be able to find my cat but i would try, because she likes to hide in general as a rule. I have renters insurance so that Would help, everything is replaceable, but not a life.

if it was my own house that burned, i'd grab thing that would become big problems if I missed it. It probably my certificate and any important papers I might have since it would take time and difficult bureaucracy for me to have them replaced.

I'd forget about my stuff and I'd grab the kids and take them to safety. Everything can be replaced but never my kids. They're the world to me, I'd even risk my life for them.

I would grab my cockatiel (my little birdie), and my laptops. Everything else I could buy again even though I'd still be devastated that nearly all my stuff is gone. I don't want to think about such a thing lol... Although it does remind you to be extra careful ;)

I'm not sure if I will still be able to save some stuff. But if this will happen (I hope and pray that it wont), these are the things that I want to save: My usb: all the important files/pictures/videos/music/installers inside my pc are here. My cellphone: I used my all my first and second salary before to purchased it. And stored messages are all important to me. My little notebook: important notes are here including those people who still owe me lol My little box: letters/pictures/passport etc etc... basically all my important stuff are here Those are the four things that I will prioritize to save aside from myself and other family members in the house. Most of those things are priceless.
