you can try doing a soft massage of that exact part of you back... And if it doesn't work, try having a couple of light slapping, or a mixture light and heavy slaps, alternately at the spot... :D :D :D :D I really thinks that patience is a virtue, scratches to itchy part of body can do a lot of stress, and lead to irritation, from rushes to brushes, and infections.,, and for me I also hate so much itchiness, I am very sensitive of all allergies,... By the way, when was your blood sugar checked, hope it is not an early signs of symptoms of diabeties allergies... :D but, a 100 % proven Healer, Faith in God ... May God Bless Us All, Always... My best regards once again, Ann...

Hi Ann, you might need to practice stretching a little. I can reach everywhere on my back fortunately. For now though you could try scratching your back up against a wall or carry a stick around with you!

I guess the most commonly used would be a hair comb, but i also use pens and pencils.

Hi, SOmetimes, I do encounter itchy back and I will use my hand to scratch it for while to make it feel comfortable. There is a time where my hand can't reach it,then I will ask my husband for help. or another way, I will use a stick especially for scratching back to scratch it.

Hi Anny dear Normally i don't face this problem these days while in home, because i wear a sandow and my air conditioner is running, but when in the other room, some times i face this due to sweating, in that case i use a pencil, pen, a one foot long scale which ever is near.. But i have heard special equipments are avaialable for this purpose.. Well some times my wife does the scratching, but am afraid because of her long nails.. Thanks for sharing. Welcome always. Cheers. Professor

I have a special back scratcher that has rubber scratchers on it and I can put a little hand cream on it which often helps. Then I just wash it off and the scratcher is clean again.

this is a funny one. well, i use anything that can be used to scratch my back, ruler, piece of wood, brush, etc. or you can position yourself at the edge of a corner and do movements to and fro. your body doing the scratching.

hi bing, am glad you thought the discussion is funny. that's how i wanted it to be. this idea started when i was staring at the dog of a neighbor. it kept scratching and it seems it could reach anything itchy in its body. then compared with how people does. am enjoying the responses so far. thank you so much. ann

I am actually quite lucky when it comes to this because I am a very flexible person. Therefore, there aren't any places on my back that I'm not able to reach. I couldn't begin to imagine what it might be like for me if there were places on my body that I wasn't able to reach because I've never been there and I have a tendency to itch a lot because the bugs love me now and have always loved me. During the summer I honestly look like a mosquito pin cushion.

itchy back is not a problem for me.....but whenever it is a problem for me i just use my pen ....because this problem arises for me when i am in college due to sweat... so i use my pen at that time....u can use hair comb too as said in above's response...that will be a nice solution.....but if your problem is too serious then get a cold shower for 10 minutes and it will definitely solve the problem of itch back.....i am sure about it...try it.... happy mylotting
