well yesterday at my work two off my co-workers got into a discussion about religion and god. personally that is one area that i don't like to talk about with other people, because it never seem to go any where. i don't understand why any one would start some thing like that know that there is that chance some one is not going to agree with them, or follow their beliefs. the one thing that i didn't understand is what they both tried to push their beliefs on the other person knowing that it wasn't going to change their minds. when it comes to me and religious thing like if god is real or not, i myself require some kind of proof, but that's just me. I'm not saying that hes real or not, i just need some thing that can prove to me 100% that its true or not. so what is your take on talking about religious things in the work place or other place other then in church or in your home?

Sisco, I agree that religion isn't something that should be spoken about in the work place. That is because religion is a touchy subject with many people. It can cause fights/arguments because everyone believes that they're religion/faith is the best one out there. If the argument gets really intense, that COULD very well lead to tension in the work place, which can in turn make the other co-workers feel uncomfortable. Its best to just keep those kind of conversations among family and friends

I agree. The workplace is not the time or place to discuss personal beliefs. It really can cause people to be tense and uncomfortable.

I believe in God and I believe He does great things for us but I won't take that conversation to work unless someone else brings it up. I think religion and politics discussions along with several other things should probably be for somewhere outside of work. Unless however you can discuss these matters without making others angry. The workplace is a place where people need to be able to get along and they shouldn't let discussions keep them from doing so.

Religion, like government or politics is one of the topics that shouldn't be talked about most especially with people who are not really that close nor open to hear something not pleasing. Which is why I avoid those topics.

i am a spititualist so religion is part of my everyday life and effects everything i think and do. i am happy to listen to other people at work talk about their religions because my religion excepts all others as we are 'the brotherhood of man and linked together by the great spirit force, mother, father, god, love.' if i can learn about others religions then i grow even if i don't take on everything that is said. freewill is a wonderful thing.

Hi, sisco100. God desires for us to proclaim his word and to spread the gospel to many people. I have seen many Godly conversations get out of hand too when people share their views on religion. There is only one religion and it is God. The Bible speaks the truth even though man may say what they think and know. There is no reason for people to argue and debate about religion, because there is only one religion.

Your religion is your personal belief. There is no point in arguing about it and imposing your view on others.I feel no one should push his or her belief on the other.Accept differences and be done with it.People who have deep belief in one religion or the other are hardly going to change their mind after listening to the others belief in a different religion.
