The most absurd thing I have ever heard: Philippines will fight China

Philippines

the recent hostage taking of chinese people in the philippines has infuriated a lot of people. Almost everything you hear on the news is about it and even the people on the streets are talking about it even if they don't really know everything about it. people in china are damning the philippines and are expressing their anger i passed by a couple of drunken youth talking about the possibility of war between the philippines and china well if it does happen, the philippines would lose. we have 97 million people they have 1.3 billion that means for every 1 filipino, there's 13 chinese to beat now let us remove the aged and the children and we'll probably just end up with 75 million willing to take up arms they'll still have 800 million china has the biggest population in the world us filipinos don't stand a chance if we do go to war sorry but it's just not possible to win unless you throw us warays into the thick of the fight we'll probably be able to whittle it down to a 1 to 6 ratio

I just cant understand..yeah the thing already happen and everybody is so upset about it specially filipinos they feel very shy to what they countrymen did...but I think it is not right to stereotype...if we will jhust reverse the situation... I think we can really sympathize just try to put yourself on each other shoes.. We already loose those precious lives and we will be loosing more if there will be a war.. and chipesterkhan..everybody has a way if Philippines cannot really go to that fight because of the ratio im sure another country will help and so on and so forth more world problem to come..more countries wil be fighting

Very well said princess. I so agree with you =). More lives will be lost if it will come to war. And not only the lives of Filipinos and Chinese but also that of other countries coz for sure some countries will do their share to help. And you're right, it is not right to stereotype. It's actually one of the things that could lead to war. As what most people would say, "One man does not define a nation". We may have the same race but we do have different personalities and attitudes and perspective in life. We can't anymore undo what was done, all we can do now is understand and sympathize each other and help each other to prevent similar horrible things to happen in the future.

That is freaking childish. The 2 governments need to sort this mess out and very fast. I don't think china would be that stupid to even try it, even if they have the biggest population. A lot of other countries would step in. We just don't have the time now for this little game, we are a bit busy with other things. Don't worry about it. Youths are childish and idiots especially when drunk. TATA.

I think we all have rights to be angry to this issue because this case is caused by the stupid solution. This morning I read the news about it. The plane sent back the people and coffins to Hong Kong. The relatives were so sad and crying, so did I. This case should be solved well and nobody should die at the end. I just didn't understand what's wrong with the Presidents in Philippines, and the rescue methods, negotiation, police are so stupid. Isn't it that hard to agree to this hijacker's demands? He only wanted to be back to work because he said the judgment was not fair and wrong to him. We just wondered whether the government in Philippines really wanted to rescue the hostages. All you have to do is to question and blame your President and the government why they solved this case like that. I believe that there are more dirty truths in this case and therefore this hijacker must die. If he didn't die and would have a fair judgment at last, he would discover more dirty truths which would have a negative on some officers in Philippines. We need to know the truth. I don't think we will attack your country, although we can do so. We won't use a mistake to correct another mistake. You'd better to know it.

fight with china? har har har. we can not even pin down a hostage taker and they are talking about war with china. we dont have fire arms, our police are not well trained. we dont have gadgets and our men has no tactics. we dont even have the ability to fight anyone just to save other people. all we have our big moiths to talk about it. still hate what i see on the news that the officers does not know who killed who. the best thing to think is how to ease the anger of chinese people not to make them more angry.

I think this is VERY NOT APPROPRIATE in this time of crisis. This is not helping the relationship of Filipino towards Chinese and vice versa. People who started this discussion are naive and don't know what they are doing. You are not helping, instead you are putting more insult to injury!!!

That is not going to happen, although, I think that China will press charges against Philippines' government, or whoever was responsible, and if the Philippines was in debt before, their debut will probably be 10 times that now. The Philippines, well, Manila mostly, is going to have a bad reputation after all of this, and it won't be easy to get rid of that reputation.

I hope it would not come to that. Statistics shows that there's very high likelihood that the chinese will win. Money wise, we're not even close. Hand to hand combat, we stand a chance if it's just boxing but we would lose if their kung fu warriors come in. games, naahh we dont stand a chance especially basketball. waray may do the trick and extend the fight a bit longer than expected but still we'll end up the loser. But what if we're going to hostage all the rich chinese in this country? I think that would even the playing field. That would prompt them to negotiate, i'm sure they don't want a repeat of what has happened. By the way, this is just a joke and not to be taken seriously.

I don't think so.actually, it's just to raise the flame of it. i believe some other race had called FIlipinos and chinese as morons for seeing this hate going too far.

Why will we fight? We both have different issues so instead of fighting, why don't we improve ourselves. Justice will not be achieved by fighting with innocent people suffering.

i do not think it will reach to that point since every request that the chinese officials asked were given by the president, like in the case of reviving the tourist police, and if ever that happens, we will be at loss

When I heard the news I was surprising. Those traveller are innocent. But I do not believe that it haven't reached the point that starting a war between these two counties, because it is not the fault of the county--Philippine. Now I am in china,it seems that all the Chinese people don't think of the war, and the first and the most important thing that the Philippine goverment should do is to improve his social security--otherwise no one would travel to Philippine, which is a harm to your county.

the Philippine's image has gone bad again, unfortunately. I agree with everyone saying that we don't stand a chance in China. It'll be our end when that war happens.
