How can you answer the question - What is the biggest mistake that you have experienced in your life and what have you done to fix it? It's not in verbatim as it was asked during the Miss Universe contest, but somewhat close to its essence. My response: May it be a mistake, I wouldn't be too sure of its gravity, however, the fact that I wasn't able to take care of myself for the longest time. I don't want to think that I regret what I have done in the past which was care more for my family and put all my investment to their needs and came to a point that I have almost nothing saved for myself. I think it's safe to say that we deserve the right to pamper ourselves and also we need to preserve and reserve for our individuals needs. I believe that it is not being selfish, it is also rewarding yourself for the hard work that you do. Now, an opportunity came to me that I can start anew when it comes to saving. I want to be more prepared for my future and for my future family. I want to invest on a business and I guess building an apartment so I can have a steady monthly income from it. What is your answer?

My response would probably sound like: I have always been risk averse, being overly conscious of how I looked because I have never been a thin or slim girl has caused me to avoid activities, going out in public and meeting people. The insecurity is still with me right now, and I have many regrets because of such an attitude. I know I am not perfect but I don't think that I'm that bad. To fix it, I am now making sure that I don't let any opportunity of feeling sorry for myself pull off my confidence. I try my best to see positive things out of circumstances and make sure that I no longer add up to the 'regrets' I have. Hmmm... though, as a comment to the pageant. I know the contestant's answer was pretty bad, but I guess stress does that to you, causes you to not even answer a simple question. The experience might have been overwhelming for her that she lost her wits in the end. But heck, we're all human.

Pageant stress - I agree that some if not most of us can get tensed when we are stressed resulting to not being able to give out the best answer. I wish you all the best and good luck. Staying optimistic will help us a lot in achieving our goals. (^_^)
