Night shift - Night shift search
I normally access the internet during down time at work (night shift), so I would probably be reading a book or paper. I would not make my models at work, as I often cycle, so they might get damaged. The internet is a real boon of a night shift- it keeps you busy, if only typing. It's very easy to fall asleep reading at two or three in the morning....

That makes sense. I used to work the swing shift from 4pm to midnight and by the time I'd get home there was nothing on TV so I'd actually clean ..... the one thing I don't do much of anymore cuz I'm too busy online.

That sounds great,when i have less appointments etc,i will be chilling out sorting all the craft things out that i have here as there are lots of things that i have got,but never used.Also i may get into glass engraving while they are at school,something else to keep my mind busy with,thats when the husband has sorted out my room.

I have had friends pop in and out most of the week so as soon as they have gone or other people that i have had appointments with,i find that i am back on here,aswell as a few more new sites that are about.I have got loads of new information on things this week by being on here.I can not do much cleaning,so the husband gets to do that.When the children go back to school there are alot of other things that i have got to do, so i will have nearly a whole week to sort other things out,so not much time to be on here then.

Lol. We'd all probably be losing our minds for a while and getting used to talking to people face to face again. But seriously, me, I'd probably be spending my whole day doing the exact same thing I do here which is basically the two things I love, just trying to make as much money as I can and have as much fun as I can doing it. Great topic! ++ well deserved.

I am like you i also chat to people on the internet,so it would be all texting then,lol.I like to find ways to earn a little money,aswell as have fun at the same time.I find that there are great sites on the internet that i spend hours on.So i think that i would be rather bored if i did not have the internet.

Ditto! Video on demand, music on demand, information on demand. It's just too convenient to give up! I'd be bored as hell too! But I think we're all creative enough as humans to find other ways to amuse ourselves. We'd all be a lot less paler LOL!

I don't know what I would be doing! I would probably be trying to get my writing into the print media. There are no jobs in my area that I can physically do so I would have to find something to do here at home. I know I would spend a lot more time taking care of housekeeping and would probably do more sewing, reading, knitting and maybe take up embroidery again. I would most certainly read more--get into more history, right now my leisure reading is escapist fiction.

I do not like reading very much,other than if i was to read up on a craft or something along those lines.I think that there are alot of things that i could sit and do like you say knitting,but in the past i got bored of all of that.There are lots of things that i can not do physically aswell,so there are not many other things that i could find todo.

Thant's really a question for me without inernet from today. I ry to remember what I did without internet: except the housekeeping, maybe watched movies,called my friends and went shopping(of cause supermarket is included). Going to the gym and reading work related books are necessary for me. Are there any other suggestions?

If I didnt have internet I would probably be channel surfing instead of web surfing. I remember a time when we didnt have internet connection and all I could do all day was watch tv. There werent any new movies rented so I had to stick to good old cable. I was really a couch potato because aside from eating, sleeping, and watching tv routine, I also memorized all the shows in all the time slots of every channel that I like. I would also make a calendar schedule a week ahead of time by consulting the movie schedules posted by HBO, Cinemax, and StarMovies. Aside from that I would also probably be texting more than my current average.^_^

The repeats sometimes work well for me because there would be two shows on at the same time on different channels. Planning a movie viewing schedule would help me watch all the movies that I wanted to watch even if they were shown on the same premier.^_^ I do agree that there were times when there's nothing good on cable and so I would turn to cleaning my room, arranging my files, writing articles, and other things that I see worth doing.^_^
@jugsjugs (12967)

I think that there are alot more repeats that they are putting on the tv,so i think that i would have to find a few other things to do like craft things.

If there is no internet connection at all.. I'm stuck with reading books written by Sidney Sheldon.., It keeps me entertained and all of his books are a page turner by the way.., so it's not boring.., or i might be flicking the remote control.., looking out for an interesting tv program..=)

I find that when ever i look on the internet there are loads of great ideas todo with craft,so that is something that i like looking at on there.I have started getting a friend of mine to get me a few craft books and i am thinking of ordering these magazines,so that they are delivered to my door.

if i don't have internet right now, i'd be starting on my fanfics or practice that piano sheet that i've neglected. or i could just be watching tv, then there's practising SAI. Heck, I actually still have a lot of back-up hobbies to entertain me.

I find that there are alot of things on the tv that are repeats and then there are other things on there that are not that interesting.I mainly watch soaps during the week.I have to be doing things with my hands as that way i do not smoke half as much than i would normally without anything todo.

If there was no internet, I guess I would be spending a lot of time on my typewriter writing manuscripts that I will be sending to publishing houses. Before the internet, that was how I spend my spare time. Doing stories and manuscripts and sending them to prospect clients through mail. But since the internet came, I have stopped doing that because it hurts my finger nails and of course the internet has more opportunities to offer.

I think that there are alot of people that use the internet todo things rather than like you say have to type things out and then having to send them all the time,convience.I think that i would have to find alot of different craft things todo to pass the time away.

I think if there was no internet, I would probably be reading a book now, or completing my scrapbooks that I have not finished since I am so addicted to internet right now. LOL. Anyway, it's true, without internet it would really give you more time to do the things that we really love to do like our hobbies.
@jugsjugs (12967)

I think that i would be spending more time todo all the crafts that i have started and not finished aswell.I think that there are always things that we start and never finish,my fault is due to not being off the internet aswell,lol.

Gosh, I really don't know what I'd do without my internet! There have been some days when we have power issues and I can't work on my computer because the internet modem needs power. On those days I catch up with my chores around the house. But if it were to occur for several days, I think I'd end up going to an internet cafe and spending money to use the internet there. I really can't do without the internet!

I use to knit,mainly stockings that were mini ones that you could hang full of sweets that went on the christmas tree.I find that there are some great ideas that you can see on the internet for crafts,but if the internet was not working then i would watch create and craft as they have great ideas on there aswell.

I am stuck indoors alot of the time other than when i go to appointments,so i tend to come on the internet.I think that a few years ago i use to be out and about going to the shop,pubs aswell as friends houses.I am happy to be at home spending the time that i can with my family,plus the children are like me,they get on the internet and then you have to try to tear them away from it.
