Ever have a change in plans?

Yesterday was the first day of the long Labor Day Holiday for a friend of mine. We had wanted to go canoeing (if we could have done it, this would have been our third time with a canoe, all time high, ) but he couldn't get a vehicle to put it on top of. So we went for a walk at a pond and swimming instead. It wasn't as fun as canoeing, but it was still nice. The wind blue constantly, so we weren't bothered by bugs (first time this summer for me). So have you ever had to change your plans? Did you have to change them a little or a lot? Why? Will you have to change your plans? What would you have done in our case? I told him we should buy an inflatable raft, then we could use it in either of our cars.

there were a lot of times that I had to change plans because of different circumstances. There were times that it was because of the weather or it was difficult for me to catch a ride but in those moments there wasn't a time that I regretted because I always ended up doing something even better.

That's neat that you ended up doing something better. Can you provide us with any examples?

I find positive things about different situations that I am in process of changing and wish I could stay as is sometimes. But I know this change I am going through right now is for the best so I must push ahead and do it. I know it is for the best but not always easy or even clearly what I need and want.

Interesting, but vague.

If the end result will be better for you, then go for it.

Yes, it is. My life is going through a change but at some points I am not sure if I want to go forward with it or not.

That sounds fun. I've never been canoeing before but I just had to change my plans today. I was supposed to go out with my friends today before school started so I can have some fun. But I opted to stay home with my dog because she's going through a false pregnancy and I need to keep an eye on her. There is always tomorrow or some other day for me to hang out with my friends but right now my dog needs me.

Changing plans for your dog, you're sweet. There is always tomorrow to hang out with friends, true. Hope you're able to do that soon, too.

Oh I love to go canoeing, I haven't gone in years, at least 9-10 years..I have pictures of our last canoe trip and just recently look through them..We had a blast..:) As for plans, what plans??? We don't make plans anymore. We are invited to a friends Labor Day weekend get together. They have both a Memorial Day and Labor Day gathering and with 80 acres and a river cutting through their property, they can do that..It's awesome, just bring your own food/camping gear. They provide a cooking station and wash station. But with our puppies, I don't know, so we will probably do what we always do, whatever "he" wants.. You know I went this whole summer and didn't go swimming once? I can't wait to get out of this situation...

80 acres with a river, that is awesome! Wish I had that. My husband doesn't liike swimming or canoeing, but he'd never stop me from going with friends. Don't suppose what he wants one time and what you want the next, huh? Sounds like you're fed up and need at least a trial separation. Take care and I hope your Labor Day weekend works out well for all of you.

I can have that option, except the last time I talked to someone there was no openings in the county. I'd have to go into the next county and I rather stay close to my family, my children that is..

Well, check again and try to get on a waiting list for your county, if you can. Also, check into Stop Domestic Violence in case you have to flee. Take care and hope your weekend goes well.

I just had a change of plans for the weekend too. Me and my family were planning to go to a state park with another couple and their children. We were going to cook out and go paddle boating. The night before my friend's b/f backed out so I just invited her and her children to my house. We cooked out and the kids played in the pool. It was a very relaxing day. We still had fun.

Glad it was still nice. I would have missed the paddle boat, I'm such a big kid.

Every family gathering over the holidays seems to have a change of plans at my house. just when you think you have everything organized something happens that changes everything. Then you go back to where you started from and plan again. chances are those plans might not stay the same either. Change is the only thing constant when you are planning something.

There are lots of times actually, even when i was in High School years. Me and my friends plan to go in shopping and eating. But when were at the vehicle one of our friend told us that we were gonna go to there house and eat sea foods. So we went to there house and eat. It's really funny coz there's a lot of things happen. There's a saying that don't plan. Just do it instant. Coz we can make it without planning.

For some people, things go better without planning.
