Would you be comfortable flying on the aniversary of 9/11?

Odd question I know, but I was curious. I hate to fly in general, but not because I'm afraid of hijacking. I guess I would be a little hesitant, but then what would be the odds of a terrorist attack, the same type, on the anniversary. Still it's happened before. It may have been 9 years ago but I think it still sticks with you a bit when you're at an airport in early September.

I am not comfortable flying on any date! Flying is a scary thought for me now, ever since the war. I used to fly before, and I actually flew a month after that year on 10/11 but I was sure it is the most safest. As years gone by, I have become afraid of the thought of it.

Flying freaks me out. I have to take sleeping pills and/or "drink" on the plane.

You're so courageous to still do it, even if it's with a little help. I guess one day if I want to travel, I'll have to do that.

I think I would be a bit nervous but at the same time you have to think that it is probably going to be the most protected day of the year. They will have even more security than usual just because it is the anniversary.

Good point. Definitely something to take into account.

Flying on 9/11 would not be a problem for me. The date is forever etched in our minds and many of us continue to have a degree of apprehension on that day. Sadly, the realism of the threat of another terrorist attack remains as long as we continue to have enemies.

Well, they're terrorists. They actually might decide to have a round two on the same day to make more of an impact.

Past is past. For me flying on the anniversary of 9/11 is no big deal for me.. Well I also believe on the saying " History repeats itself".... haha... Just always be aware of what's happening around you, and report any odd things happening to the authority.. Don't Forget to Pray !! :)

i don't fly a whole lot, but I think I would fly that day. It's probably about as safe as any other day now. It was 9/11 that caused all the increased security measures to begin with! I remember when I was a kid you walked someone to the waiting area and sat with them until their flight left. then you watched it take off! When they returned you walked all the way out to get them! Boy things have changed!
